Today we were supposed to go into London but we kind of woke up late and the weather was if so we decided to go visiting places closer to home. First we set of to a little village called Castle Combe although its called Castle Combe there's no castle but it is considered England's most picturesque villages in England. It really was a beautiful village guess what the sun came out as soon as http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Somerset/Bath/blog-430740.html Another day by the water Another lovely day so we decide to go for a little drive to a little village called BurtonontheWater. not much to do there except to sit by the water and watch the world go by... It's a nice place to bring the kids and pets both were playing in the water.... http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Gloucestershire/Bourton-on-the-Water/blog-430185.html Window shopping in Chester Before making our way back home Greg and I decided to go into Chester a lovely town that unfortunately has not be looked after. many old buildings and there is a wall that surrounds the city. We were going to go and look at the walls but it started to rain so we will be going another time. http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Cheshire/Chester/blog-430174.html House hunting maybe Another beautiful day so we took the opportunity to go to Cholmondeley Castle in Malpas about 20 minutes from Greg's parent's place. The castle is still lived in by Lord and Lady something but the gardens are open to the public. It really is a beautiful place and the gardens are to die for. Had we known how beautiful it was we would have take a pinic there... I'll let the pictures do the talkin http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Cheshire/blog-430148.html Day trip into Manchester Since Greg is on vacation for a few weeks we decide to go up north to visit his parents and visit the near by cities. Our first stop in Manchester. Nothing spectacular it's a regular cosmopolitan city much to my disappointment. Mind you we didn't visit the whole city.... We basically went to the shopping area of Manchester. The weather was so nice so instead of walking in the Biggest mall in Eng http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Greater-Manchester/Manchester/blog-430145.html my first football game.... I finally went to watch an English Premier league soccer game Everton vs Coventry City. It was a preseason game and what was called a friendly game basically what that means is that after a player has played so many games with a team they have a friendly game where part or all of the procedes from the game are given to the player as if they need it with their multimillion dollar contracts http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/West-Midlands/Coventry/blog-430139.html Going into the city for supper It's your birthday we gon' party like it's my birthday.... After waiting for Greg to get back from Germany he took me in Oxford for supper at famous chef's Jamie Oliver's resturant. we had a nice time and the food was great http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Oxfordshire/Oxford/blog-430136.html Meeting the rest of the family.... ok ok it has been a while but I got lots to show you from the last few months hope you enjoyI finally got to meet Greg's brother Matt along with his wife Katy and sons Isaac and new born Noah Greg's parents also came to meet us. After a few hours at Matt Katy's place we went to spend a few days at Greg's parent's place in Cheshire. http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/West-Midlands/Coventry/blog-430135.html Trip to Italy Squile Off to see my folks in Italy.....We left a cold and rainy England for the sunny and hot weather of Italy more precisely to Squile where my dad was born literally the same house he was born in. It's been 6 years since I last saw my aunt Zia Minucce Basically all we did the trip was eat and eat Since Greg Had just returned from the race in Turkey we really didn't want to spend much time in http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/blog-412833.html Trip to Avebury... Went to see anopther little village close by with Greg and his parents. Avebury is known for it's stone circles that have been around since prehistoric times 4500 to 5000 years old.... This country has so much history that it's hard to retain everything The Stone Circle is similar to Stonehenge as in no one knows how it came about and what it was for..... http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Wiltshire/Avebury/blog-412820.html Time to go home.... Today we woke up early so we could try to get home at a decent hour. We have a long days journey today a 14 hour drive back to Uffington We decided to drive through France but we should have driven through Italy less traffic Too bad I can only upload pictures on this blog I have some funny video clips from my camera of Greg singing.... http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Monaco/Monte-Carlo/blog-404941.html Race day in Monaco race day at the circuit..... http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Monaco/Monte-Carlo/blog-404929.html Qualifying day for the Monaco GP I spent the day yesterday in the garage so no photos from yesterday. But today since they were holding the qualifs I went back to the castle and roamed the little village up there and walked through the jardin exotique again it was amazing walking through there I even had a little picnic by myself. enjoy http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Monaco/Monte-Carlo/blog-404920.html Practice day of the Monaco GP I was limited to where I could go today because they held the practice session for the race today. so I took advantage of walking around away from the track... http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Monaco/Monte-Carlo/blog-404916.html Wandering the Streets of Monaco walking by the marina to go see Greg at work... http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Monaco/Monte-Carlo/blog-404906.html Final destination Monaco we left Sanremo and drove back into France to get to Monaco about a 40 minute drive yes forty minutes to go from the Italian Riviera to the French Riviera.... Our hotel was not in Monte Carlo but in Beausoleil France. You could litterally walk into Monaco which I did everyday By the end of the week I think I walked all of Monaco It wasn't what I expected but it was nice nonetheless. I http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Monaco/Monte-Carlo/blog-404904.html Destination Monaco pit stop in San Remo Our journey to San Remo was very nice however we passed through countless tunnels and when we were on the open highway there were garde rails that obstructed the view from nice pictures let alone the accumulation of bugs on our windshield Next time when we have more time we will drive along the coast rather the highway the views were unbeliveable http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Italy/Liguria/Sanremo/blog-404892.html Destination Monaco entering Italy After our breakfast we head off into Italy and looking at Monte Bianco from the Aosta Valley. Pictures do not do the views justice http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Italy/Aosta-Valley/Mont-Blanc/blog-404888.html Morning in Chamonix We woke up to a beautiful morning looking at the mountains nothing could be so peaceful. http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/France/Rh-ne-Alpes/Chamonix/blog-404886.html Destination Monaco second stop Chamonix After having a quick breakfast in Dijon we set off to ChamonixMont Blanc on the FranceItaly border. If you think MontTremblant is nice you will simply love Chamonix. It's like tremblant only 100 times bigger and well its the French alps We got the and it started to drizle but nothing that would stop us from walking around. Not much was going on there since it was a Monday and not their http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/France/Rh-ne-Alpes/Chamonix/blog-404872.html
