Campsites - From: Road Trip! Brisbane to Sydney in 6 days
Campsites were about $20-25 depending on the facilities. I think almost every town on the East coast has at least one campground so we didn't really plan where to stop. Basically, we had a rough idea of what we wanted to see and would stop when we got tired. The place we found on one mile beach was stunning - very much recommended. Good luck and have fun!

hi there, me and 3 other mates are going to australia and going to do the same road trip as you did. How did you know where the campervan sights were? or did you just go with the flow and hoped to find one somewhere? and what was the average price of the camp sights? Thanks alot mark

Canadian Embassy - From: “Good morning Vietnam!”
On the pic called "Fancy Building" the Canadian Embassy uses a couple of floors, if I recall correctly. In Ankgkor Wat visit the main temple in the afternoon then your pics will have the Sun light coming from your back. Budget at leat 3 days for Angkorwat alone (if you want to properly see all the temples. Have a lot of fun. PS. Jess is coming to SOuth Africa in about 4 weeks, yeah!!!!

Melissa and Sidd: Thanks to both of you for the updates. Hard to believe you've already been gone so long, and I bet it seems like even less time to the two of you!! The pictures are amazing, the blogs are fantastic, and I really look forward to seeing you when you get back. And Melissa, hopefully we can figure out a time to get our respective "non-breasted individuals" out for a beer with us some night. Ha - I can't believe you've given up refined sugar for Lent. LOL - I remember looking at you like you were from freakin' SPACE when you completely gave up chocolate the year we were writing the Bar. Sweet MARY, Rico - what the hell were you GOING on?!?!? Of all times to rely on your VICES, man! Anyway, just wanted to tell ya, I've never even really WANTED to visit Australia until now. Looks like you're having a blast!! Hey! Melissa, I can't stop staring at the picture at the very top. That sure is paradise. Am trying to stand right there and imagining no one else but me at that spot. Oh! I wonder how it feels at dawn when the hot sun isn't out yet, just the sound of the water.....Mmmm. Last time I tried to make it to Zanzibar I found the last ferry gone for the day. On my next trip I now know just where to go, all thanks to you, its just so eden-like....I can feel it! The red Khanga seems to have been made just for you...Very pretty!

habari za canada? - From: "Excuse me, of course I worked!"
Hujambo dada, So, I'm getting into my studies over here and thinking more and more about whether or not I want to return to Africa. Time has faded that overwhelmed feeling that Africa left me with, but not entirely. Right now I'm thinking out the logistics of going back to study women activists and womens rights workers in East Africa. From your experience do you think I could find enough information to make this a worthwhile topic? Do you think people would be interested in talking to me about this? Let me know what you think and if you have any ideas. I know we talked about it a bit before too. Tutaonana, Nicole

Hey Melissa, Sounds like you're easing into the cultural nicely...beach, gym, and extra large beers. Didn't realize you read my travel book ;) I was just back in Calgary for a week, it was great to see friends and fam, but damn I don't miss living there that's for sure. How long do you plan on staying in Tanzania? If it's condusive, I'd love to visit you and get a local's perspective on the area. Let me know. My possible travel plans this year include spending xmas in Oz and a trip to the Philippines with Cirila and Lolo...we'll see though. London's still treating me good, we're currently moving again (I live in a different flat than the one you saw but am moving yet again...I hate moving!!). Bron's doing well here too, she's working for the BBC and enjoying being out of Calgary...but she misses her dog (Foxy). Say hi to your sis and folks and take care. D. - David Lynch
