Thank you for sharing this beautiful place of paradise in homonhon habag.I was born and grow up in this lovely Island of habag,it is really a treasure to share with the community but at the moment if things are not going to be taken care of,it will going to a dissaster like in Casuguran with the mine going on there,ruining the vegetation not only that it is killing the small spices around them.Lets hope it is not going to happen in habag,missed habag so dearly.

Been here, too!
Went to Homonhon with 2 of my friends around 5 years ago. We didn't know anyone from the island. Imagine their surprise when the people saw 3 strangers emerging setting their feet on the island's shore. We only took a very small boat...that luckily was able to cross the Pacific Ocean. The waves that day were so huge that my friends had thought we were going to die...haha! They allowed us to stay in the Rural Health Unit of the island since it is typically not occupied by any patients (no doctors!). The beaches were immaculate. Too bad all our pictures got wiped out. All I have left are memories of that sweet place. Sadly, the mining activities there are destroying the island.

Hey Agnes! Thanks for featuring Homonhon most expecially Habag! I hope u can also feature here Magallanes where it is historical as many Guiuannanons have not stepped on this place, much more it would also be educational to many researchers/ historians why and how Ferdinand Magellan got there, so the whole world would know that the first mass was not held really in Limasawa, but in Homonhon island, we are proud to claim this and change many Phil. History books for such misconceptions. Mabuhay ka!

Nice to see again my ever beloved place bitaugan diyo.thanks for posting exactly the place where i started my childhood up to now my brother and relatives are all lived there.Theres no place like this beautiful island though i maybe million miles away this site made me feel closer back home.I really missed this island so much, i hope when i get back to pinas i would be able to come to homonhon AT MAG INOM HIN TUBA TAPOS DERECHO KATUROG DIDA HA BAYBAY PAG HUBOG NA.Damo nga salamat..bye

I'm so happy to see the photos of my dear hometown. I'm personally from Habag Homonhon and I studied at Habag Elementary School from grades I to IV. God bless and thank you to you miss Agnes Lim at nakita ko sa net ang homonhon island at ang lugar na kung saan nag landing si magellan and we are very proud the place where we born, there no place like home.At kahit na taga homonhon ako sa barangay cagusu_an di pa ako nakakapunta sa magallanes na kung saan nakatayo ang cross. PAGBABANGNAN,HOMONHON...MY HOME!!!
...i'm so thankful that someone posted the photos of homonhon island,.i came from brgy.PAGBABANGNAN,the place where ferdinand magellan landed..homonhon is a beautiful place with a very hospitable people...in my our place which is PAGBABANGNAN,you can go to beaches.falls and most especially, you can go to the place which make homonhon known worlwide,the magellan's cross in magallanes...our place is one of the cleanest brgy in homonhon and one of vthe most beuatiful..how i wish someone will post some photos of our place so you will see the beauty of PAGBABANGNAN..PROUD TO BE HOMONHONAN!!!!!!!

hello its very nice that you were able to take a pic of the fabulous island of homonhon. this will help people to know more about this island. I have been there also but only in the barangay of Pagbabangnan and Canawayon and Casuguran. But I havent seen the others. Well, I just passed I think at Culasi but I haven't stayed there for hours. Im loking forward on visiting Homonhon Island again o take a swim on its seas. They its really clean. I am hoping o visit again the place where my father lived and spend his childhood life, adolescent and even i think his pagiging binata. THanks once again...

I was born at homonhon island sa brgy. pagbabangnan matagal na poh ako na hindi nakakauwi there. hehehe nakakamiz na ang mga place na lagi naming pinupuntahan ng mga kaibigan ko. just like linao na laging hindi nalilimutang maligo dun lalo na kapag my okasyon....hayyy!!!!!!!!!!!i rily my love homonhon island....as in nakakamizzzzz sana lang makauwi na ako para naman makita ko ulit ang mga tantwin dun..... uhm, through thiz picture kahit papanu nabawasan ang lungkot ko......tnx poh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1hindi lang mga tanain ang namimizzzzz ko pati family,yfc,couzns,barkada,and my niece and nephew...gosh!!uhm, by the way dyan pala ako nag graduate sa hnhs... and john anthony was one of my clazmate....uhm,,,to all b-charm'd girls...bryan rose,cherry may,angelie,rashell,regene,marose,melissa,diosa and dinah muzzzzta na girlzzzzz???????????mizzzzzzzz u all wag magparami ng bf..... hehhehehehhehehehehehehehehehe........and mzzzzzz u homonhon

Homonhon Island
I love your photo of my home island, I try to go home each summer to make up all the years that I never went back. I left the Island in 1976 when I was 8, and came back 25 years later when I was 33 in 2001, and ever since then I've been going back as much as I can. I'm from cagusuan, you might know my whole family in the Island (everyone know each other from one end of the Island to the other), only a few us have left the Homonhon and cagusuan. I have family all around the island ( Bitaugan, Casuguran, Canawayon ect. and also our sister Island of Suluan) I love you all! (and now I'm home!) Oh yeah! Magellan's crossing is a must see if you ever get a chance to be at that end of the Island, great water fall (very cold water fall, but nice to jump in and get away from the Island sun) ONCE AGAIN, THANK YOU FOR YOUR PHOTO OF MY HOME ISLAND!

Fabulous pictures, Agnes! I find it very useful because I'll be trekking to Matnog this July. The scenery and serenity is a wide contrast compared to where I from, Los Angeles, Cailfornia. Keep up the good work!
