Travel Blog | amyandmike http://www.travelblog.org/Bloggers/amyandmike/ Travel adventures in journals and photos from amyandmike en-us Mon, 07 Dec 2009 09:46:53 +0000 Mon, 07 Dec 2009 09:46:53 +0000 Back home OK so we both made it back home after several VERY long travel days. We will be updating the blog throughout the week posting pictures and filling in the details of Germany and Amsterdam. Thanks for reading and the good stuff is coming http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/blog-423091.html Yes we are still alive So internet has been infrequent. We get it on Mike's IPOD Touch sometimes and that is why we are able to update Facebook so easily but typing out an entire blog on a key pad that is smaller than a credit card can be a bit bothersome. Espcially when you get it all typed and than the internet fails. So anyway.....the rest of Italy was amazing. We saw a lot of history art and churches. When in http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Germany/Bavaria/Munich/blog-419640.html Is this a vacation or an Ironman Competition So we have made it to the second location in Italy Florence is beautiful. Very nice city so far. We walked around last night and saw lot of churches statues and beautiful veiws of the city. Today whenever the boys wake up we are going to see some of the art. I must first comment on the Ironman Competition we seem to be on...So our first stop in Italy was a place called Chinque a terrasp http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Italy/Tuscany/Florence/blog-416070.html The Most Athletic Day Ever We had the best workout day today I'm gonna keep this short since I'm not at an Internet cafe and the wireless is a little spotty but we'll fill in the details later. Paris people are beautiful. It must be in the water because the sidewalk feels more like a catwalk. StunningToday we took an incredible 3 12 hour bike tour through the side streets of Paris. If you ever come visit Paris loo http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/France/Ile-de-France/Paris/blog-414605.html Down the hatch... Our visit to Dublin was short and unexpected. I suppose I had these grand ideas of Dublin and I was a little disappointed. I can't really put it into words what I expected but it was not this. Our first night we went to Temple Bar and had some more Fish and Chips. These I have to say were way better than the Whetherspoon Fish and ChipsSorry Elvena We then headed to the pub and had some ci http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Ireland/County-Dublin/Dublin/blog-414033.html England We have typed this blog twice now and hopefully the saying is true...third try is a charm Wireless is so touchy. Our trip to England was wonderful and we can't wait to go back. We did a lot of walking and sightseeing but didn't end up seeing or doing everything. We stubled upon Buckingham Palace by accident and were ammazed by how much it is like the White House. Well in the sense that it http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/blog-413423.html Our slight obsession.... Not really obsessed. http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Greater-London/blog-412797.html Shiny Disco Balls and the BoomBoom Room Day one of being in London has come to a close. Our flight was VERY nice on Virgin Atlantic and I will definitely take them again in the future. Amy finally got to see Slumdog Millionare and Mike got caught up on My Name Is Earl episodes. After a delightful dinner we had a beverage to help us sleep. We got a little bit of sleep but the little kids behind us had other plans. Upon our arrival http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Greater-London/London-City/blog-412194.html Our Itinerary Well Amy and I have been busy packing today trying to cram as much stuff as we can into an impossibly small backpack. I swear the thing seemed much bigger when I got itAnyways some people have asked to have a basic itinerary of where we're headed when.623 New York City624628 London628630 Dublin63073 Paris7374 Milan7476 Cinque Terre7678 Florence78711 Rome711714 Sorren http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/blog-410647.html
