Hi there
Hi Amber, I'm so sorry to hear that. Are you okay? The news tell about terrible earthquake, tsunami and nuclear reactor. I hope you will be fine. My friend's Grannie living in Tokyo and she can't call her at the moment. But finally she can contact her and she's fine.

Hi Amberlynn, seriously I envy you. How fantastic place in there? I knew Seoul just from the movies I've watched. I hope someday, soon I can visit Seoul and share my story too. Happy traveling :)

hospital fees
I had to take my partner to the hospital one night at 3am and the cost of the visit, medication and IV drip was less than the cost of the taxi taking us to and from. Back in Australia I had the top health care so everything was free but I thought even with the health care card here it would cost an arm and a leg but I think all up it cost us 2300 Yen which was amazing. They even let me rest in one of the other beds while I waited.

The gym is small, old, and full of men. Haha. It's a little like I imagine "the gym" in Salina to look like. I like it though. Whenever I go, there are people who speak to me in English. That is always nice. Not that I only want to speak English, but its refreshing to have a conversation that I understand sometimes :). Did you call me a lover? Funny.

Sounds like a great first experience upon arriving in Japan! You are going to be there for the same duratiion of time we were in Hawaii where a large part of the population were Japanese. (Way different environment I know but still.) I wish you the best of luck as you begin teaching and I look forward to reading future blog posts!
