Wow! the ducks and roast porks look good! Wonder whether that's the place daddy used to go for BBQ ducks. He still talks about how good it was after all these years.

#5 - soo ... were all gauls naked then? o.O #6 - omg MAYHEM INDEED. #7 - well I don't think he did it by himself, darling. Although - omg, that really is massive. #8 - IS THAT ALLOWED? REALLY, AMANDA? #9 - d'awwww. #10 - there is no head! is that intentional? #15 - the paragon of maturity, you are. Ps, what is with the obsession with nakedness? Seriously. #21 - um, ew, actually. #22 - oooh, all foggy and grey and atmospheric =) #25 - what?? Hahaha. #27 - "french food"??? Well I would hope so, seeing as you're in Paris ... #28 - EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH!! So cool la! How is she?? #40 - oooh, I'm glad there wasn't one more 'g' in that! Lol. #41 - OSCAR WILDE! #42 - WAS THERE A HUNCHBACK?? Are you gonna want to go back to Versaille with me? Or will I have to go alone, lol. #67 - OMG AMANDA!!!!! I DUN BELIEVE IT!!!!!1! (I don't even know what you're pointing at lol) #77 - NAKED. AGAIN. What is with these frenchies, eh? lol. La Coupole - Woah! Creepy looking place altogether. #86 - !!!!! So beautiful!

And you DIDN'T go to the Great Hall?? SHAME. - From: Oxford, Kelvedon Cold War Bunker
#3 - are those footprints real?? Like I mean obviously a dinosaur didn't make them ... but are they permanent? What are those things?? THIS IS REALLY DISTURBING MY MENTAL FOCUS. I am very confused. #7 - LOOK AT OXFORD. IT'S A FREAKING POSTCARD. #11 - I think I threw up a little in my mouth. JOKES, okay, but really, isn't vegetarian haggis like ... some kind of oxymoron? #13 - LOL AMANDA @ your focusing skillz. And your memory. Also, I love all the Narnia in the background. OH NARNIA. #14 - HOLY CRAP. I bet those things still live in the bottom of False Creek, only they're like ... neon, or something. #15 - remember our like 45-minute long trek through the kiddie zoo in San Diego just to get blurry picture of one of these for your brother? Good times, good times. The natural history museum looks amazing, the cold war bunker looks ghetto (and I mean literally, ghetto), and I want to live in Oxford please.

Protest? Scary!! But you're okay so yay =) Also, lots of pretty architecture and sculpture and whatnot. I CANNOT WAIT TO EXPERIENCE THIS SORT OF THING IN PERSON WITH YOU. #4 - omg it's like Moulin Rouge! Only they're not IN the elephant, they're ... beside it. Yes. #5 - lol what. So I just started watching Doctor Who ... and there's an early episode where they go back in time and convince Charles Dickens that ghosts do exist. And then here is more Charles Dickens! Hee coincidence. (Also, strange that that shop's on campus.) #6 - is this like a random sighting? Or was he at a booth or something? Because if it's yes to the first ... how exactly do you know his face?? #9 - LOL PUN WHAT. #12 - because only in England could one build a successful business out of selling potatoes. #13 - EW YOU CARNIVORE YOU. Lol, I bet you looked like such a tourist taking all these pictures. =))

amanda ... i don't think the duck is albino. seeing as it's got black on it and all. stonehenge! i've been to stonehenge! when i was like three. and it was so windy that on the tape (yeah, we videotaped my three-year-old visit to england) all you can hear is the WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH of the wind. ... yeah, that's what i remember from my previous overseas trip. standing on a rock in front of some other rocks wearing a red plaid poncho thing (lol, i was stylin' as a child) and trying to yell over the wind. also there was this thing i did while hitting my dad's and uncle's stomachs ... but no one really needs to hear about that. =)) how was stonehenge/cathedral?? was it all spooky and old and whatnot? or were there far too many people for the spooky to come through?

Amanda! It looks like you had so much fun! How come we don't have a fun night with explosions and pretty fire in the sky? OH WAIT - we do, it's called festival of lights. But as it's sans parade, Jack Sparrows, and Wall-Es, I think Guy Fawkes wins. Hands down. (omg, toilet-paper-less washroom? Poor you!) Also, why am I so cool? Not only is my name apparently splashed across storefronts worldwide, it was also in yesterday's crossword. Oh yes. I'm that awesome.

So, Liverpool must have been AWESOME. Photo 6 with those British ladies and gentleman sitting on that seat is way too adorable! Were they just old folks sitting in a park? I wish Canadians dressed like that and sat in parks. How is the weather? Still looks surprisingly good. Vancouver has been decent for the past few days but I'm sure it will be very, very, very dreary soon! What are you plans for Halloween in England? Will you ever ride the Eye? Is that what it's called? That big Ferris Wheel or is that somewhere else in the world. Ah, I'm not sure. Take care! Chelsey

Where's Switzerland! Oh well, we're a small country.. Anyways, that looked like fun! Iceland made me smile. I love reading these, Amanda! How is art history? I contemplated becoming a curator and taking the course at Langara which allows you to go to France of Italy or even England as well to study for a semester and it's actually not too expensive! Best of luck on your exams. I have a political science one on Tuesday and I haven't really been paying a lot of attention. It's not because I find the class ridiculously boring it's just there seems to be a lot I don't understand about the political world. Sigh, I thought I knew more! Oh well. Hot air balloons are so lovely. I'm slightly freaked out of them because of that accident that happened in BC one or two years ago though. All extreme sports (though I'm not sure if I would consider hot air ballooning an extreme sport) really frighten me. I want to do them because it seems like life-changing moments. Okay, maybe not life CHANGING, but definitely something I would like to experience in my life. It's just scary because there are so many horror stories I've heard from bungee jumping and sky-diving! Ahhh! I SEE THE BALLOON IN THE LAST PICTURE ON THE RIGHT HALF JUST HEADING OVER THE MOUNTAIN! Right!?!? Aw, and there was a rainbow? Wait, my eyes are playing tricks on me. That is just a really long cloud, right? Haha! So, who's allowed to ride in the hot air balloon? Are students?

Wow Amanda! I decided to read this before going to class and I'm so distracted by your awesome weekend and pictures! It is so insane you saw the Merry Wives of Windsor. It looks fantastic! The weather looks very Vancouver-like. I think I would spend 5.5 hours in a museum as well. I love museums! So the tube is the train over there? At first I thought you meant TV but I was like, no, that can't be it! As Reham asked in one of your earlier posts, see any cute boys!? Haha. Can you tell the different between an English accent and a British accent? Is there even a difference? I've heard there is but I wouldn't know! Very nice. But I like the Magpie better =D. GOING FOR A RUN? I am SO PROUD! We never actually got around to doing that! We keep saying LATER. and you STILL haven't signed my yearbook. I shake my head. But that's okay. I suppose we can do it next time :). At least fire alarms bring a sense of home, right? Good ol' Hamber. Which, by the way, we haven't had ANY alarms so far. But I haven't even seen the new principal. WEIRD. You're pictures are super cool. So unpopulated. Funny how it's natural, but all I can say in my head is SURREAL. But all in all, the pictures are all pretty! Stick to your schedule tomorrow and take care of yourself, okay? One day, we'll go SPEND MONEY together in some far-off place. With Sandra, of course. ;) Skype is downloading as I speak. So don't say I'm not trying! I still miss you! And I drink tea everyday in yours (and Laurel's) memory! :D Update on our side of the ocean: We got first for Paddle for Kids and indulged in a few hurrahs in show of sportsmanship. =D But we felt guilty, so now we're milking money from the new grade eights for the hospital. We're already on our way to fundraising. Spirit bands and the Bay "giving day" tickets have been ordered! Hopefully, we'll raise $750 by November, at least! =) I'm trying to take everything one day at a time. Don't take too much to heart. Don't get very agitated at the little things. But I don't know...(by the way, I ended up getting 30 minutes of sleep the day before Paddle for Kids, SUPER CRANKY! OKAY. Skype has been downloaded: collyn.chan okay? LOVE.
