Cmon, what could possibly go wrong...
Cmon, what could possibly go wrong...
At la soiree deguisee, surprise, Boubou brought fireworks! The packet says stand 40m away, but i'm sure this is close enough...
The sun is up and my bed is warm. I get up and gingerly shuffle into the kitchen and have breakfast. The others are up now. I am lazily stuffing my things into my pack. Nearly ready to go…Nearly ready is violently shoved into running out the door when Maxi tells me my tram arrives in two minutes. ..F@&%…I grab my bags and stumble down the stairs running as fast as I can. I get down the street…no tram…I made it. I double over to catch my breath and remember…my passport, on the table in Maxi’s apartment. Bag in hand I [View Full Entry]

This place had an eerie feeling about it. It lets you appreciate the recent history of Germany and the lead up to the war. I can't say it was fun but i'm glad i went.
Leaving Amsterdam I felt on the up and up. My need for painkillers was subsiding and the thought of a real bed and a home cooked meal was all the motivation i needed to make the 7 hour train trip to my friend Maxi's appartment in Nurnburg. I met another aussy on the train, haha a seal training psychologist, which made the time pass much quicker. It's strange meeting people when travelling, you can get along so well and meet some really incredible people but there is always that ticket in your bag that says Wurzburg and theirs that says different. Did you know this is older than your country...

Adam with a massive hot chocolate, in front is the vaporiser and my space-cake. How are those kneecaps Adam? A little bit chilie?
I arrived in Amsterdam on the seventh after tossing up whether it was best to go straight to Germany considering my tonsils were completely destroyed, and swallowing the few neurofen i had bummed off a waffle vendour in Brugges was becoming harder and harder. When i stepped out of the station in Amsterdam, the cold air hit me like a slap in the face and my first impression was that it was like a really dirty, seedy version of disney land. I eventually found a hostel in the citycentre, The Flying Pig, my makeshift hospital bed for my stay in Amdam. [View Full Entry]

Making friends in high places and ene,ies with red faces.
Goede dag, weet u waar ik een bier kan vinden? I'm chilling in Bruges! I'm stoked at the lack of jetlag i'm feeling too, especially considering i took a sleeping pill on the plane and then stayed awake the entire flight??? I'm havijng trouble finding a place to stay tonight but i'm sure it'll work its self out... I had such an incredible time at Kyoto! I got there with no idea what i would do and the few days i spent there just unfolded perfectly. A coolest beer in Brugges....
Venice of the north...

I wake up each morning to the cold Kyoto air and the drunken ramblings of the BakPak kyoto hostel. This really is the way to live - no phone, no responsablility, no plan, just an endless horizon of things to discover. Today i went to Arishiyama national park outside kyoto. It was absolutely incredible. the whole city was like a postcard. The people i have met so far are all so great, they all have their own cultrues and perspectives to offer. I spent last night in a jamaican bar with a frenchman and two britts, eating ornamental bananas and listening [View Full Entry]
