Today was an amazing day. Today we woke up, ate breakfast, and got ready to go on a Mekong River Delta tour. We got into a taxi and went to the dock. When we got there we went on the boat we would be on on the tour. Our first stop was a pagoda. Our guide showed us the female and male lions that protected the pagoda. Don't worry, the lions were statues. Then we went inside the pagoda and saw a buddha. You know how buddhas have big ears, apparently thats so the buddhas can here your prayers. Clever huh. Then we walked around the temple and I saw my favourite buddha. The buddha of 1000 hands. Each hand has an eye so the buddha can look at everyone. Today was a day that taught me a lot. After we had breaky and got ready we had a swim in the pool. Then we got a taxi into town. This time we went to the war museum but unfortunately it was time for the people's siester, so we had to come back an hour and a half later. In the mean time we went to the coffee shop for some juices and iced coffee. Yum yum. Then we had a look around. When we had a look around, we went back to the war museum. I had a look around the first floor of the museum. It was okay. It was full of posters and bill boards protesting against the Americans fighting against Vietnam. Then we went upstairs. Today was a day in which I learnt alot. Today we got up at 6:00 in the morning, got ready and ate a breakfast of 2 boiled eggs with juice by 6:45. We went down stairs to be escorted by our escort to the port. Once we got to the port we had to wait a bit because 2 people hadn't arrived. When everyone had finally arrived, we got on the boat to start our 1.5 hour trip to the Cu Chi tunnels, this is where the Vitnamese dug tunnels to protect themselves from the American bombs. it was an underground village connected by networks of tunnels. it consisted of bedrooms, kitchen, hiding rooms, bunkers, oxygen tunnels and water rooms but no "happy stations" (that's how they refer to toilets here), if you needed to go ... read more

Today was a day that wasn't too exciting. We woke up to our last buffe't breakfast in Vietnam. Nothing to report. Then we went back up stairs to do our blog. Still, nothing to report. Then we went back downstairs to look for a sunglasses seller to get me a new pair. I ended up getting really good Adidas sunnys and Mum got a pair of sunnys that were half aviator and half something else. Then we went for a walk and found lunch. You will never guess what we had for lunch.........I'll tell you...........ICECREAM! Cool huh. Anyway, we wondered back to our hotel to check out. Then we got a taxi to the airport. Today was really relaxing. Today we had our usual buffe't breakfast and went to the markets. When we got there, i was walking around when I accidently dropped my sunglasses and a motorbike ran over them. :( But then Mum said she would get me a new pair. :) Anyway,we found a place that sold hats, so, the whole family decided to get themselves a hat. I got a black Nike cap, Dad got a different type of black Nike cap, Mum got a red tennis Nike hat, and Kyle got a straw hat that Vietnamese women's wear. Today was a day to remember. We didn't do much but it was fun.Today we woke up and had our usual buffe't breakfast and went down to the beach. At the beach we went straight to the water to get purposely get pushed around by the waves. Fun fun fun! Soon enough I found a drop ledge in the sand and all of a sudden I was up to my shoulders in water. It was so cool! Later still I was swishing with the waves when I found some friends. They were from cairns. Apparently in cairns there wet season is in summer. Weird huh. Anyway, we decided to go back to the pool with our friends because they are staying in the same hotel as us. Wow, what an exciting day. We went to Vinpearl Amusement Park. Vinpearl is an island full of water rides, ground based rides, shows, and 2 stories full of arcade games bumper cars,and 4D cinemas, and the best part was, after you bought your ticket, everything but the food is free. We started off by going on a beautiful and quiet cable car across to the island, but when we got there, what we saw completely blew our minds. As soon as you get off the cable car you see just a massive place just filled with ground based amusement rides. There was: Blackbeards fury (a swinging boat), a rollercoaster (which we unfortunately, didn't get to go on), 2 upside down spinning things the games building, a merry go round, an animal acrobatics place (which I thought ... read more

Today we woke up in the novotel and went down to floor 1 for a big buffe't breakfast. I had: miso soup and rice, an omelete, sushi, noodles, fried rice, baked tomato, fruit, juice, and a yoghurt smoothie. Yum yum. We then went on a nice long walk. We had a look around town for a laundry, found a bank, found a department store, and found many restraunts.After looking around, we went to have lunch at a nice restaurant. We had barbeque pork on rice with a delicious sauce. Then we went home via the beach. It was really relaxing and I saw a massive crab. Later we went to dinner. Today we woke up to another all you can eat buffe't which consisted of: fried rice, egg, banana pancakes, mango pancakes, a variety of delicious fruits, and lots of juice. Afterwards we went for a nice walk to the markets to have a look around. Nothing to report. We kept walking to see if there was anything to look at. Still, nothing to report, but the rain kept coming. That's when we decided to go back to our hotel. That's after of course, we got 500 grams of lollies and peanut brittle. We went back to the hotel and got everything ready for our trip to the airport. After all, today was the day that we went to our next stop. Nha Trang.
