Just seen my brother-in-law!!! Was looking thru your photos of the Gambia and saw a photo of One Man and Four Drums, who is my brother-in-law!! Hope you enjoyed his drumming , he is one of the best drummers in the Gambia and Senegal and has been involved with lots of commercial productions as well as appearing on the local tv and radio for his work. He works very hard and really enjoys entertaining the tourists!! It was a lovely suprise to see him feature in your photos.
Wow - thanks a lot for the compliment. I had taken a coach from London to Preston and as this was my first visit to the North of England this was the first building I clapped my eyes on! Taking photos in the middle of an empty carpack outside the station I'm sure the locals would have thought I was quite strange!
Good story Hi Xave & Urse, I"ve really enjoyed reading the blog... OK! OK! maybe I'm a little late but I got there. That photo from Rotorua is stunning! Which one? The bird on Lake Rotomahana of course.Lotsaluv, Mark/Dad.
Happy birthday? You mean happy new year don't you! Ha ha! I do that too! The place we stayed in Barcelona was excellent - nice people work there, an open attitude to the contents of the main fridge, good breakfast, fine rooms and central (about 10 minute walk from Ramblas and 5 mins from Plaza Catalunya). It's called:

Radiant Just as well you didn't have your traffic licence Xavie. The ferries boats and buses seem to have added fresh opportunities to see and do things. Your photographic coverage is excellent. I loved the ancient architecture but would not enjoy a holiday job reparing the outside of the Dubrovnik seawall! The sunsets ( and Ursula ), were ..... (see heading). I can't wait for you guys to get over here.YELFXX
I am so jealous! Looks like you've had an amazing time and I made a promise to myself to go there before I die. The bit about the motor boat guy made me giggle hihi (Now let me guess.... who wrote this blog? You (sng) or You (pl) ? :)
Wow, that is quite a conincidence! I can't remember the name of the apartment block that we were moved to, but it is almost certainly the Guri Mi Rae Tower. It was perfectly fine, small but comfortable.
If you were given the choice, I would suggest you go for as high up the building as possible because the view is amazing from the top floors is amazing: neon lights, low hills in the distance.
Good luck!
Heading to the same School Hello,
I read your review and came across with a sense of relief as I am also heading to the Guri Wonderland Institute. Just one question, what apartment complex did you stay in? Aside from the "Love Motel" that is? I am being put up at "Guri Mi Rae Tower", are you aware of that building?
Regards,
Brandon Heikoop
