Since Thankgiving just passed for Korea, we got to thinking that we were thankful for quite a few things ourselves. Being so far from America, we missed certain aspects of life. So here is a list of things in no particular order that we are thankful for: *Ben, there won't be any pictures in this one, so don't even think about complaining, lol Professor Yoo This one we have to say is number one. It is because of this little woman we are in Korea. She set everything up. She has connections all over the world and has helped us experience more due to them, even more so than the other international students here. From our plane ride over (direct and she got the school to pay for it) to little day trips we take with ... read more

Sorry again for the span of time between these. Chuseok is the one of the biggest holidays in Korea and it's celebrated from the night before until the day after. This year, it was October 5th, 6th and 7th. Since I myself don't know enough about this holiday to give an accurate summary...I found this site and it has a better explaination than I could give. Something I couldnt figure out caught my attention to ... read more

We've been here a month now...first impressions...ok...I'm definitely not going to lie when I say there were more things that made our eyes pop out than I could remember. We were constantly comparing things to what we knew and either making the weirdest face, laughing and/or taking a picture. I'm an honest person so everything from this point on might be a little biased from my point of view...consider this your warning.... I know that sounds mean, but let me tell you......if you heard a little dink-dink-dink-dink behind you, turning around only to discover its a korean girl on her 4 inch or so toothpick high heels running full speed down the sidewalk. Assembling the blur together into a stick figure with zebra spandex capri-ish pants, puke green shorts/overalls, a bright pink shirt-thing underneath and a ... read more

Ok..so Renee and I have been planning this trip for about two years now. A study abroad for the fall semester at Ewha Woman's University in Seoul, South Korea. Our friend Soo Won took us to Koreatown in New York City one day and we fell in love with all things Korean right then and there. Anyway, after planning and setting everything up with a "love her to death, put in your pocket and keep her forever" Professor Yoo we were finally in the taxi on our way. Two hours later we arrived at JFK. Security was faster than we thought, so sitting at gate for at least 45 minutes allowed our minds to race in all directions. "We are finally at this point" "I'm not looking forward to this plane ride at all" "You know ... read more
