Hi Hilary and Jane. Lovely to hear about all your exciting adventures and see the gorgeous pics. Some really fantastic shots. I have returned from my own trip now and after only one month I was glad to come to an English speaking country !!! but I'm no trecker. So I am aware of the stresses and strains of travel brings and well as the glorious delights. I'm sure you know you are missing floods and storms at home. Anyway looking forward to seeing you lovely pair again. Love from Linde

Glad you're doing well
Jane/Hilary, Glad to hear you're doing well and having fun. We look forward to whatever you have time to post on the Blog. Laurie's heart surgery was successful, yeah! 2 birthdays today, Mom and Emma. Looks like Morgan will be with us for a while, we've enrolled him in school in Ossining. It was great seeing you. I can't wait till my kids grow up so I can take a trip like yours. However, I am enjoying the moment for all the joys and frustration. Bless you both and keep safe. Love, Bother John

Exquisite descriptions!
thank you Jane and Hilary for this beautiful commentary. I feel I have travelled along with you, at one with your openness to the pain and beauty of Africa. The wildlife shots and descriptions are beautiful; I feel moved to see through your eyes, these creatures in the wild. How to hold sacredness through all moments of life? It's my ongoing question too. John and I have just taken 5 days at Te Henga, in sanctuary, reconnecting with our sacred selves. Sometimes pure beauty is necessary, so that all the rest can be filtered and assimilated and one can return to faith. Journey well, dear travellers.

the gifts of life
I can't tellyou how thrilled I am to see probably my favorite person in the world doing what she was born to do...travel the globe completely swathed in the tragedy and the glory that is our species and this fragile blue and green globe thay we call earth/home. How divine are the gifts of our world, the good and bad, how lucky I feel to see you again dear Jane and to witness again ( though from afar ) the gentle exuberance with which you have attacked your life! loving you always, R

the contrast!
I feel moved by the photos and the contrast, and knowing that the forest was there too, between the rich and the poor. I wonder if the poor go to the forest?

Hellooooooo! You lovelies! Great to read your stories, and even get to see you too! Wonderful. Glad to read that you made it there and that your adventure has finally started. Enjoy enjoy enjoy. All's well here, have finally spent a WHOLE weekend at home pottering, which was lovely (still no wallpaper though, oh well). And now i've skived off work to write reports at home (oh and maybe a little internetsurfing). Not as exciting as your life at present, but still, I'm happy. happy travels, you beautiful two! Looking forward to more blogging! Lots of love and bubbles, hope to see you in the Galapagos Isles! Judith XXX
