Bob & I grew up further north, near Los Angeles, but were stationed in San diego 1976-1981 and used to take our boys out to PtLoma light every New Years' Day to see the whales. At that time, the housing at Pt Loma light was Coast Guard housing, so we had friends that lived there, we'd BBQ and have a wonderul day, great start to the year. |

Now I understand the time and effort you put into it. Very well done and interesting to read. We miss in Florida ... all is well except for Caleb who is home sick. He's finished up all his 6th grade classes. Last weekend, we built in the back corner of the yard a tree perch for the kids about 12 feet off the ground accessible by ladder and looking into the back of Sugar Mill Gardens. Hi Diana and Nathe, We definitely didn't go to DC as we knew it would be crazy and it was for the inauguration. I was actually in New Ulm, MN and while it was cold there, at least I wasn't standing outside waiting for the activities or stuck in some tunnel.
