We have varied and vast musical tastes , we listen to most genres , one in particular has always held a soft spot ..... Country..... Australias premier Zoo is located on the western plains of New South Wales, we passed through Bathurst , Wellington enroute to the famous Dubbo Zoo. One stop over is the Bathurst Gaol , Ned Kelly was held here for a period of time, The sandstone facade is great for its craftsmanship and sense of intimidation as you near it. We suggest a stop at the Wellington Japanese gardens, Wellington is not the wettest of town , so, to see a manicured and lush garden that is visually spectacular + welcome releif from the hot western plains. We love Sydney, We arrived well rested and relaxed after a 3 month tour of all the beaches on the East coast of New South Wales, We had received some bad reports of the City , only to find that as usual it is in the eyes of the beholder. We left Sydney two days after New Years Eve, what a night, the temperature was a warm 40 degrees and we were sweltering , we had been staying for the night with a friendly Sydneyite, so we said our farewells , called into our favourite Indian at Manly for our last Vindaloo and left, we got to the Blue Mountains easily after climbing a gradual but steep road for an hour. We, using our Camps 3 book, went down the coast from the Gold Coast using the book. We more than often enjoyed better camps through being a bit inventive and thinking laterally. Lets just say that we are positioned in front a block of oceanfront units / apartments, who is not to say that we are not visiting a tenant, Once this doubt has been instilled we have never, , been challenged. We have moved in to the Gold Coast and what a hive of fantastic beaches , 1/2 price dining , Free camping and people watching. We quite often spend our days just drinking coffee after our morning swims and watching the ppl walking by. To this most will require a few things one is the coins for the coffee, secondly, and most importantly is the abililty to just relax and allow the world to pass without trying to overtake it all the time. Well we have all the work done and the scary head space of selling of all the material stuff that we had accrued over the last three years of suburbia. It was very cathartic to cleanse ourselves of these things, viva the E bay , I applaude all travellers that go without the safety net of a back up plan. When it comes to a purchace of all thingsgreat and small ,especially our first home,we are very methodical about it.. We sold our dream car ,a HJ 2 door coupe Monaro 327 chev to help with the purchase of WhyWait.
