H is for Home Europe » Italy » Veneto » Venice
Before I begin I must explain the more frequent postings - I have realised I have a whole alphabet to get through and I only have 8 more weeks left here. Excluding this post that means I have got 16 more articles to publish before coming home, which is easy enough to calculate - 2 articles a week. I hope the quality doesn’t suffer (to be honest, after the appalling anti-climax of G for Girls it can’t really get much worse), however I believe this is what they call working to a deadline. Anyhow, do enjoy H… H is for Home. [View Full Entry]

G is for Girls Europe » Italy » Veneto » Venice
G is for Girls. I’m afraid so, it has come to this. If you do not wish to think badly of me then please do not carry on with reading this. It is sordid and debauched, just reading it could potentially corrupt innocent souls. Actually, I’m afraid it’s not. I can’t really write this up, for I were to do so I fear that people would have very little respect for me, also identities need to be protected. You’re going to have to wait for the Special Edition blog at the end of the season where I write up everything. A [View Full Entry]

F is also for Friends and Family Oh, it really is. I hate to double-entry here, but I think it’s needed. I’m half-way through the season and you guys need to know that I miss you. So, here is a list, in absolutely no order, of people I’d like to shout out to: Mum, Rob, Kate, Harry & Suzie, Dad, Greg & Sam, Paul & Ed (hah, you’re a gay couple now, hehehheheheh), Rickers & Gem, Costin (you’d better still be a monumental pervert, I expect stories to make me vomit by the time I return), Miles & Sue, the boys, [View Full Entry]

F is for Food Europe » Italy » Veneto » Venice
F is for Food I have been putting off writing this for a long time because trying to organise this in my head, let alone write it up normally feels like an impossible task. There is so much food here of which I have eaten vast quantities that I’m not sure I’m up to doing it justice with my words. There is also a chance that some of this will repeat on various food substances described in the pre-A to Z era of blogging, all those years ago. For this I apologise, but tough, you’re just going to have to read [View Full Entry]

E is for Excursions Ciao regazzi, come stai? I find myself yet again in front of the laptop, fingers happily tapping away at the keyboard, thinking that if I put my mind to it I could probably take over the world but never really finding enough time to do it… So instead I will go over excursions and everything to do with them. Now obviously, if you are fans of this blog-thingy, then you will know that I have written up in great detail the places we go to (see previous entries), but what this will cover will be how I [View Full Entry]

D is for Days Off Europe » Italy » Veneto » Venice
D is for Days Off Despite all appearances and the vast amounts of time taken to write up all this blathering gibberish I do actually do quite a lot of work. To understand my days off and how I use my free time I’d best describe the actual working part of all of this first. My normal working week starts on a Friday, which is airport day (see A), which usually lasts from 07.00 to 21.00 if all is on time, with maybe a couple of hours off in between. Yesterday was actually the best we’ve had, with us being [View Full Entry]

C is for Customers, Complaints, Colleagues & Cretins… Good morning everybody, I’m sat in my baking hot apartment at 07.45 killing 13 minutes of time before starting my duties at the Ambasciatori Palace, I must confess that I’m not entirely awake - I’m sure that somewhere in this condo is a picture of me sleeping… So, ‘C’ is rather an all-encompassing entry for working with people on both sides of the organisation. As I sat down to write this, a quote my good friend Miles Redwood-Davies used to use rather liberally couldn&rsq [View Full Entry]

B is for Booze Europe » Italy » Veneto » Venice
B, mi amici, e per Booze. Editor’s Note This is my least coherent entry yet (and hopefully ever), this is due to the very nature of the subject and it might not be the most informative, amusing of worthwhile entry I have made, but being the artist of integrity I am I feel that deleting the words that were written whilst under the influence would just be selling-out. Now seems as good a time as any to attack this subject. The reason for this is that right now I am still half-cut from the biggest binge that I have managed whilst [View Full Entry]

Ok, so the traveling part of the blog is over, I am no longer on holiday and am in fact working, or at least doing a damn good impression of someone who is. If I continued this as a quasi-diary/journal it would end up dull reading as the interesting events are spread over days, whilst some of the parts of the job are good to know about so that if I write or talk about them you have a vague idea of what I mean. Furthermore, it gives me an excuse to keep doing this daft idea. I actually quite enjoy [View Full Entry]

Venice. Yeppers. Europe » Italy » Veneto » Venice
Greetings Earthlings, How I find the time to write these damned things up I will never know, for today’s entry and recollections I am sitting by my dining room table, the Venetian sun filtering in with the ever-beautiful sounds of workmen destroying the car-park below my apartment building filling the air. It was so nearly very picturesque. Not much more to write up, about training at least, I’ve been too busy doing that thing called ‘living’ recently. I did receive an email from my father asking me if I was actually doing any work - yes, but only in the slig [View Full Entry]
