Homeward Bound! Hello,
We have loved reading your Blog and seeing gorgeous pics and can't believe its so nearly over. Have a safe journey home and we look forward to hearing the highlights in person soon.
Lots of love,
Nick, Kate and Annabelle xxx
Tejo mahal That was well spotted! There is a theory that the Taj mahal was actually a Hindu temple which was converted bu Shah Jahan and your photo proves it all ! (source Wikipedia)
Did you REALLY expect sunny, dry weather AND clean toilets!
Great blog.................. avidly read by brothers, nieces and parents. This one went far to describe the atmosphere of India - we preferred it from the 5* tourist perspective. Always said you missed your vocation. Take a nice photo of the Taj Mahal for us - from across the river if you can.
Lots of Love
Phew Glad you are all safe, we were getting worried. Shame you haven't seen Oz at its best but at least you're safe and have the excuse to visit again. It was clearly a good move to move into the comfort and safety of Novotel. Best wishes for the Indian leg of your odyssey. We fly out to NZ on 26th Jan - I'll send a change of address to your school e-mail. Take care Steve
fraser island great blog kep it coming. Shame about the floods. They have been on the news in the UK, flood waters reaching 16m in parts and expecting Rockie to be inundated.
Hervey bay is great . We did a trip to Fraser island and stayed in Eurong resort and hired a 4WD for 24 hours. Worth doing if you now have some time on your hands.
We are in the Alps skiing this week, temperature here is -12 degrees which quite different from your 30+ degrees.
Happy new year to you all

hello from rainy wales It was funny to see you. We have looked at the pictures on your blog. They look cool. William looks like me! Are you having fun? When are you coming home? This is my email address so you can email me. We are going to Hay on Wye today. It is very misty and wet. We had lots of fun in the snow on the hill near our house with sledges. We got a Wii for christmas. That's all for now. from Evan.
Pit Ponies? Many young people have little concept of the lives Pit Ponies lived. pitponyman has uploaded some video shorts on You Tube. Just search for pitponyman channel and enjoy.
G'Day Flipping freezing in Blighty. You don't know how lucky you all are. Super to read about Sydney - the first time I saw the Opera House it brought tears to my eyes. Thank you, once again, for an entertaining Blog.
Brilliant We thought you a bit mad to leave your newly acquired cottage, with much to do, to go on an extended and expensive holiday. We now understand! Having previously dipped into the blog occasionally, this evening I have read every word and looked at every photo of your NZ epic ( Mum did so yesterday) and we are so impressed with your excellent travelogue - it left us breathless at times! What a wonderful experience for all of you - especially W&E. Good luck as you move on to Oz. Much Love.
Petrol Please publish a tally of how many of us ran short of fuel at Milford Sound - know the Childs did too!!
Sounds like you are still having far too much fun,
Kate x
wow after watching for the 3rd time amy still saying wow how cool. so close to that huge whale. definately worth every penny! Much better than the daily sight of wake and shake! hope you managing to keep up the tradition with morning renditions of 'I like to move it'!!
Looks like you too have stayed at the Top 10 Kaikoura campsite!
PS Giles suggested go fishing instead - they had an amazing trip with "Tommo" coming home with all sorts of edibles.
PPS Giles also offering to lend you our pics of K in the sun, and us swimming in the Top 10 pool in the sunshine.
PPPS Bloody cold and grey here too. Keep smiling. This is character forming stuff...
Jumping Pillows !! Dear Cosmonauts
I think the jumping pillow is another species that is native only to New Zealand. I remember one in a campsite just behind the whaleway station in Kaikoura. Many happy hours of jumping whilst waiting for the weather to clear.......
I hope you get onto the water. Keep writing your blog, it brings back many memories for us.

Boo Hiss No...- rain at Kairteriteri. Loved reading about your walk - we did exactly the same one (with the added bonus of Sam saying after about an hour - I neeeeeed a poo; joined by Alfie about an hour later. You know how eco friendly the Kiwis are - no plopping as you go. Suspect your boat trip more than made up for the loss of kayaking which we found knackering and not very productive! Keep on driving!
A first! Our wonderfully supportive IT department (and I) are still wondering where laptop 2 has disappeared to... Of course, I believe you when you say it is not in New Zealand. Of course, I do.
And my thanks to Nanna and Grampa for ensuring that I haven't had to scurry off and check the digital cameras, too.
I love the blog--just a little worried that W may in future associate worldwide travel with The Horror of Math Lessons. Stop them at once.

Well done Emily and Co Wow the raft looked exciting. Splashdown will seem tame from now on! The spaceship looks 'cool' but quite small. Love catching up on how you all doing. Just had 2days off as Sherborne primary shut due to 3cm of snow!! Only small snowmen here.... worlds away from you eh.
Take care
