Thursday, July 17th This morning we were able to take a walk with Mary Taylor, a former nurse, who is now leading tours in London on health related topics. Mary was able to take us to St. Bartholomew’s Hospital where we were able to tour their museum and learn about the history of the oldest hospital in London. St. Barts has been treating patients for NINE centuries! We also had the opportunity to visit the St. John’s Ambulance and the site where John Snow discovered the water pump that was linked to the great cholera epidemic that ravaged London. Once again we have a couple of our students writting some of our travel update to get you a feel of the students are thinking and experiencing... Hello from across the pond! Today (I can’t believe it’s already Friday!) the Health Exercise group had the amazing opportunity to participate and run two biomechanical experiments in the University of Salford’s labs.
