I like your perspective!
Thanks for writing down your wonderful thoughts, Wanderlust (nice pun, ei?) Not only did you write wonderfully about my beautiful country, you also shared with us the importance of having a positive outlook. I agree that "The universe will always conspire to bring positive things to us as long as we are open to receiving positive experiences..." Keep it up! Keep blogging and stay positive!

stumbled onto your site somehow...? but hey! t'sall good eh? Nice pix. Go to Egypt two, three maybe four times a year. Stuck with Sharm mindyou...love the smell of Cairo, equally the burning sugar cane as the warm breeze fights the air conditioner wilst it carries it in the open window of your room on the nile cruise...can't wait to get back. What a great trip I have had with you.
Dear Michael. Please do some more writing. Your pictures are great but your descriptions of the life around you has been so inviting. You have great perspective with or without the beers. Kumusta ka! I am a friend of your cousin Jim, and I was born, raised and lived in the Philippines until my late teens. I grew up in Zambales province in the island of Luzon. I was in the island of Panay (for the first time) about this time in 1999 (last time I was visited). I went to Boracay and stayed a day and half there after visiting relatives in a town named Durog in Iloilo where my mom is from. Yes, the white sandy beach, the beautiful sunset, the boat ride there, the hut we rented for the night for about $25 then, the open air market, etc. What an experience for you! I tell my friends that I wish teenagers in the USA get the opportunity to travel in a developing country to see how lucky and fortunate they are over here compared to the kids over there. Enjoy the beauty of my home country. The Ati Atihan festival in Panay should be happening about now, right? Take care of yourself.
