hibiscus? - From: Palm Springs Area
Just beautiful! I had no idea there were mountains like that in palm springs! The flower looks like it might be a hibiscus. They have woody stems that makes them hard to pluck. Not sure from the photo though. It sounds like you're having fun!!

Great blog! - From: Furnace Creek, Death Valley
I'm really enjoying reading through your adventures! Your pictures are amazing. You should look into getting a gorillapod. It's a flexible and portable little tripod for your camera. They're a great invention! (and we've used them for lots of "dashboard shots"! http://www.joby.com/products/gorillapod/

I bet those guys caused the exhaust leak. New vehicles do not have leaky exhausts! Then they wanted to pass the buck. Anyhow it turned out well at the end.

Dear Lyn Janet and I have really enjoyed your wonderful travelblog. You have really been an inspiration! Wally was with you all the way. Of that there is no doubt! He is proud of you. Lyn, I hope that you will contue these interesting travelogues as you go on your way. One of these days you must really swing by here in Weatherford to stay with us. Another possibility is for us to rondezvous with you at a campsite. That would be great. Lots of love to you Lyn! Garth and Janet

Hot Dog! - From: Gulf Coast
Those sand traps look great to hone one's bunker play. My telus hi-speed and TV has been down for 2 weeks. They can't fix it. I'm relegated to slow dial up on my laptop. Good to see you doing great on the beach. We have one rain storm after another. All due to Gore's global warming of course! Hahahaha. Al

sorry for the interruption - From: Kansas City
Someway I hit the wrong key and away went the message. Anyway, our daughter, Donna lives in Olathe, KS (another suburb) and works for H&R Block - has been doing taxes for two years, and teaching classes. We really appreciate the blogs - sorry we didn't get to see you while in the area, but we will be looking forward to your arrival home. Enjoy Tulsa - where we lived just before coming to Mandeville. It is fun to hear impressions of visitors today. Fondly, Anne

Safety first! - From: Des Moines, Iowa
As much as I'm enjoying your blog mother, I must speak to you about all the "behind the wheel" photos. I know someone who would not approve :) It is stressful enough knowing that you are driving a 33 ft long home AND towing another vehicle.... Let's mount you a tri-pod on the dash or something! Be Careful! Love you!

Well you are sure getting around! You must have a steady hand and a good camera to take those shots thru the windshield. I bet if the car had a sunroof you would standing up for a better view, sticking it in cruise control and steering with one foot. Hehee. You have quite a way to go before you become a addicted gambler. Blowing a dollar is my first clue! Take care Al

Great Pics, Scary but interesting goings on! Get those wipers fixed. Find out where the fuse box is located and carry spare fuses. Probably under the dash somewhere? Great adventure. What about a satellite phone? Dunno much about them cost wise. Take care... Al

Sunny and hot. - From: Silver City, NM
It sure looks sunny and hot. A change from the rainy West Coast. Good beer drinking water hole methinks. That pink building looks like it could house a bar. Now I have to look on the map to see where Silver City is and the location of the place 50 miles South. Take care and don't pick up hitch hikers. Al
