| 26th August 2009 Libby Lyver | What a wonderful future awaits for these 3 - From: A WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY FOR SON, VINH & DAO Having been to Hoi An myself as part of the Cycle Vietnam trip in November 2009, I can attest to the wonderful work that Karen and the Lifestart Foundation are doing. It was such a thrill to meet the people who have had their lives bettered by being sponsored by Lifestart and being given the education they need. If anyone is thinking of supporting in any way at all, I say go for it and maybe one day make a trip to Hoi An (the Venice of Vietnam) and see the things that have been accomplished firsthand for yourself. So many inspiring stories and people to meet. Well done Karen to you and all your loyal friends, family, helpers and volunteers. |
| 25th August 2009 Karen | STREETS - From: A WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY FOR SON, VINH & DAO Hey Karen, I loved the service and food at STREETS! I highly recommend it to any one in Hoi An. I also recommend your son, Sinh, class on caligraphy. three of us took his class and loved it. He is a natural teacher who made us feel quite accomplished. No easy feat. I also loved working with Ms Phong buying books in Da Nang. Not only a terrific worker but so diligent!!! |

| 17th January 2009 Vinh | Heartening - From: LIFESTART FOUNDATION WOMENS WORKSHOP On my recent trip to VN before Xmas 2008, I visited the workshop with my two children. It was heartening to see the ladies in a cheerful, supportive environment, putting in their best effort to strive for self-sufficiency. Lara & Wesley had the tasks of choosing the cards to support these women. They democratically spread the support around and chose a card from each of the ladies in the group. I am sure other visitors will be willing the lend their small (or big) support. Congrats Karen, I hope this will take off further with your planned “marketing” plan. Sherry, I am so impressed with your artful touch and more so with your brilliant way of applying and translating art into productive, concrete, delightful products which will help the women fulfilling their dream of becoming financially self-sufficient. |
| 15th January 2009 Libby Lyver | Congratulations - From: LIFESTART FOUNDATION WOMENS WORKSHOP Congratulations Karen (and Sherry) for creating something so wonderful for these women. I was privileged to be able to meet them on a Lifestart fund raising cycle tour of Vitenam in November 2008. They are such a lovely bunch of happy ladies and their smiles said it all. To see the difference Lifestart has made to each of their lives was a wonderful experience. I hope one day to be able to get back to Hoi An to help. I urge anyone who reads this comment to help support Lifestart. The work they do is inspiring. |
| 15th January 2009 Karen Chun | Fantastic progress - From: LIFESTART FOUNDATION WOMENS WORKSHOP Wow! How fast you and the girls have moved since I saw you last summer. The products are beautiful and know you will have a great success! |

| 18th July 2008 Tam Doan | Hi James the Birdman - From: Birdman Returns Anh James the Birdman men, I wish you to have a very good fly down the Alps of Mont Blanc. I love giving advice and here is one. To get energy to scale down the rough rocks of the Alps, I reckon that you should eat Pho for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You Know Pho? The Vietnamese beef noodle soup that President Clinton had two of when he went to Vietnam. Recently the Foreign Minister of Australia cooked it when he visited the country. I would like to donate $50 to your fund raise. I will work more and will donate to you more next time when you swim down the Mekong out to the Pacific in your next Lifestart Foundation spectacular event. Are you going to the July Dinner Dance? Best wishes, Tam |
