| 27th August 2009 Lisa | We will meet again - From: A ship without a sail Well hello there, What pure joy it was to read your poem and yet again you fill me up. I hope your trip was everything you dreamed of - I have no doubts of that. What are you doing now in France and how are you settling in? I hope to visit you one day in the not too distant future and share another night of wine, smokes and endless conversations (oh and by the way - I am still looking for these bloody satelites!!!!!!) I too am now back home and what a feeling it is. Sadly I cannot say I'm loving it and I'm thinking "what now"? I guess it's just the shock of coming home, on my own, and starting from scratch without Ciaran (he is still in Oz) Contemplating heading back to Oz for a year and giving it a go with some real work in Renewable Energy. It's all pie in the sky at the moment though as I'm only back a week and still trying to put my finger on exactly how I feel about things. Anyway, keep in touch and let me know about your next big adventure in France. Good luck xxx |
| 19th August 2009 Dad | Great - From: A ship without a sail Wish it had been me, But I was their with you in spirit, and was glad to hear your tales when we were with you in France. You were still in to food and drink but unfortunetely this time it was for others,. |
| 17th August 2009 Lynn | - From: A ship without a sail This not only captures what you expected, what you hoped for and what you experienced, but gives others the privilege of sharing it. Obviously a magical time, now a magic shared. Each time you write something new Gordon, you give your readers expectations- so now on your future travels we need a blog (travel writing) and poetry. What next? Thank you for sharing it. Lynn |

Except maybe they will turn up and maybe there will be someone to supervise. (with more than one GCSE grade F qualification in social studies) Hope you guys are lapping it up, I am so envious I cannot say. ATB |

| 19th January 2009 Dick Ansell | Train - From: Well...worth looking into 17 hours on the train and no comment about it? The trains of India are special and probably have the largest bureaucracy in the world. They range from regal splendour to a single plank. If only Paul Theroux had done India as well! So Gord how is that Zen coming along now? I never understood that book you lent me (which I returned) BTW you still have my bloody book, "A scanner darkly" which is now a priceless antique. Never did see the film of it. |
| 18th January 2009 Dick Ansell | Beach Pharmacy? - From: Well...worth looking into I have just recently read Roger Moor's autobiography. He mentions a stay in Goa and that at one end of the beach was a Pharmacy which sold "everything" in the way of chemicals. Of course our Gord would not be interested (in this incarnation) but I just wondered if it was still there. |

| 18th November 2008 Liu san jie | - From: Erratic thoughts and daydreams The name of the night show is Liu san jie(Third Sister Liu). Very famous in Zhuang people. I enjoyed this show(in the stage) in US, which was for the Sichuan earthquake. Really amazing. The story is with a quirky twist, the song lyrics are rhymed and show Liu is very smart, brave and upright. I just hope that I could see the show on the Li river. |
