Athens to Istanbul
a trip by Monk
From: September 20th 2010
Until: October 1st 2010
After a hard spring and summer of non-stop work, Nellie and Monk have managed to snatch just 12 days to get away and recuperate.
They'd originally intended to take a train from London and meander their way across Europe to end up in Istanbul. Lack of time scaled this down to booking a flight to Athens and back from Istanbul instead, the intention being to do the last leg of the journey by train from Athens. These best laid plans have changed yet again. The final itenerary now involves going southeast from Athens via Rhodes instead of northeast via Thessaloniki.
From Rhodes, Nellie and Monk will travel to Fethiye in Turkey to spend a couple of days with their friend Pam before flying up to Istanbul for 6 days.
