"...and decided to risk it. After all, how could they refuse me? I would talk them around, surely, and if that failed, I'd bribe them" "To be honest, I didn't even know where or what Belarussia is" "eastern beaurocrats" why didn't you gain basic information about your route? I'm really disappointed you don't understand and have no respect to law regulations.

Somehow I knew from the start your journey would go on much longer than you originally planned. ;) I'm glad to see you're well, this experience seems to be good for your restless soul. Take good care, dear!

true priestess
Tiz you are an inspiration to me as priestess on the path, independent woman, psychopomp, adventurer and writer. The flames of the sacred fire leap from the page and mingle with the flame of Bridget in my own heart. Blessed be the three eyes of almighty Shiva! Om

"Everything is becoming a meditation. " looks like you have cracked it. All thats needed now is to apply it back here in our busy western world of commuting, overlong work meetings and stressed out families...

Finding balance
India to me is noise, contrasts and diversity, very unlike Norway where I´m from. But like you pointed out - the Indians themselves seem to have found the inner balance to function in the chaos. Nicely observed, I´m glad I found your blog. Enjoy your stay. Kali Duge, namoh namah, jay mata kali, Jay mata Durge.

‘Be still and dream the future’, I like that and Rishikesh sounds like the right place to do it. I wonder if your ashram is the same one with the lovely gardens I visited, by the Ganges. It was quite big as it hosted a world yoga conference at the time. Did you select your ashram on the basis it teaches tantric yoga? Happy dangling anyway, Percefal
