With a few weeks left to go before I start my new job I realize that this summer has been one for the books. It started off quickly by traveling up and down China with Deanna. We started off by riding bikes through the countryside in Yangshuo then moved up north to conquering the great wall in beijing. We rushed over to Xian to see the warriors and down to Chengdu to play and hold the baby pandas. We ended our trip in fabulous style in Hong Kong. Well, I've been in China for three days now trying to get back into the swing of things. The flight into Hong Kong was tons easier than last year, Guangzhuo never again. Hong Kong is the way to go for sure. Unfortunately the typhoon had negative effects on my apartment. I love that one of my walls is all windows, including the doors, but for some reason that just made it easier for the strong winds to break the locks and open the doors letting all the rain in. Just finished a year in China and am back in the States visiting friends and savoring all things American for a couple of months. Feels great to be stateside and see friends and family but getting super excited as my return to China begins its three week countdown.
