Good Morning, This morning I woke up to the most beautiful sunrise! To be honest, I couldn't even see the sun, but the glow of the sun reflected on the clouds above the ocean and it caused this pink hue that bounced off the emerald water. Good Morning! I am writing to you all after a very alarming morning. The sock puppets got very out of hand. I don't want to get into it too much, but let's just say trash talking terry is back and is p.i.s.s.e.d.! She hitchhiked all the way from that Wendy's back near Orlando, FL to Destin and if she was trash talking before....she is foul mouth francine now!!! Good Morning Everyone! It seems like I am always a day behind lately and that is just fine with me. That is what life is like down here in Destin. There is no rush. You find yourself talking things more slowly (even your talk becomes slower.....kinda a strange mix of Rhode Island and southern accent...whoah). Hello all! You have to love the sound of crashing waves. It is nature's radio station. Sometimes it's turned up loudly with the mix of waves, seagulls, laughter, jet skis, and speedboats. Other times it is on softly, just the gentle sound of the waves. That is what it is like now, at 6:38pm Tuesday afternoon. Hello all! Not too much to write about right now (it is 8:30 am central time), but let me just say --- WE ARE IN DESTIN, FL!!! Beautiful, breathtaking, DESTIN, FLORIDA! April and I left Orlando around 1:00pm Sunday and arrived Destin around 6:30pm. It was storming out by the time we arrived and was rather dark....but that didn't stop us from driving around to access the damage from hurricane Ivan last summer -- and to our surprise and shock -- we didn't notice any! Hello all! I have a lot to write about since I didn't get a chance to enter a journal in for yesterday. We left off with the saga of stained sock puppet and trash talking terry and their "adult content" happenings. The two of them had quite the hangover yesterday so they didn't come with April and I to lunch at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville or to the show to see House Of Wax in CityWalk. Good Morning! Yesterday was another quiet day in sunny Florida. April and I had lots and lots of work to do, so once again it was around 12pm (or was it 1pm) before we left our hotel to have some fun. It was time for lunch, so we decided to go to Pointe! Orlando. This shopping/entertainment complex is pretty cool. There are plenty of shops, a movie theatre, restaurants, nightclubs and a very neat attraction/museum called Wonder Works. It is 7:35am.....April and I are getting ready to visit several of Florida's "natural" attractions: Silver Springs Park, Blue Springs State Park, and Spook Hill (a place where your car travels uphill without it turned on or your foot on the gas or steering wheel -- people have been trying to figure out how this works for years and hey, its free....lol).
