We woke up at 5:30 this morning so we could get to Universal early to get a jump on the new Gringotts Harry potter ride! This didn't go to plan - we still had to wait over 3 hours for this ride! After this ride we split up into smaller groups, me, alex, eddy, ryan, helen and andrew had some lunch at the leaky cauldron (bangers and mash for me). We then explored throughout Diagon Alley then caught the Hogwarts express to Hogwarts and Hogsmead! The most memorable rides were the dualling dragons and hogwarts castle. Outside harry potter world; the hulk was pretty crazy! We went on many rides none of the line ups took as long as the first harry potter one! We met up with the rest of the group towards the end ... read more

When we woke up at Ginnie Springs this morning, me, Christine and Kathrine did a sunrise tub down the river.... best idea ever! We then got ready and made our way to Orlando the city of theme parks... in true Florida style we got there an a thunderstorm rolled in. We upgraded to cabins as the weather was just too hot to camp comfortably! We had 6 people to a cabin which was quite nice and had a kitchen. During the storm we did our laundry and then in the evening we drove to downtown disney (after the storm cleared) to get some disney souvenirs and did a bit of a pub crawl around downtown disney. Tomorrow we are spending 14 hours at Universal studios so we went to bed early!... read more

Today we drove to Ginnie Springs, it was a huge campsite right next to the river! We went tubing down the river we beers until the sun went down then we had a few drinks. I ended up sleeping out of the tent tonight on top of a couple tubes :) it was a beautiful clear night....... read more
Tents and tubes

Sleeping in the humidity was pretty gross but this morning we go snorkelling and dolphins spotting on a boat... no dolphins however we do a bit of snorkelling and I do some paddle boarding which was quite fun! After this we go back to camp then to Spinnakers club to watch the world cup final between Germany and Argentina, Germany won! After the game we had another dip at the beach sans stingray this time. Christine cooked us dinner of prawns, corn on the cob and salad. We watched the sunset on the beach and me, Cat and Christine went on the sling shot ride which was right next to the campsite! We bought the video recordings which was hilarious! Had a couple of drinks tonight and had an early one. Tomorrow we go river tubing.... ... read more

So we were supposed to wake up early to go to the NOLA running of the bulls which is basically girls on roller blades with foam bats hitting people.... however I was way too drunk from the previous night and didn't wake up. 9am we check out and do a small driving tour of New Orleans and then are off to our swamp and alligator spotting tour! The swamps are mosquito and smell free which I surprising and we see 4 or 5 alligators! They love eating marshmallows as they think they are eggs! I buy a plush alligator toy as a souvenir! We then go to Hooters for lunch and are on our way to Panama City Beach which is a much longer drive than anticipated... we arrive in PCB at 8pm. The toilets looks ... read more

Sleeping in a bed last night felt so good! We had a good sleep in and met up with Christine at 10:30am for a cemetery tour (this city has the most cemeteries ever!) Before we start the tour though we stop by a pub to start our day in true nawlins style... by having a Bloody Mary :) this helps with the minor hangover a little. After the cemetery tour Christine leaves us and the group have lunch at the most famous restaurant in the city called Antonies, it's a very fancy restaurant but they have the best lunch special $20 for a 4 course meal and with the meal you also get 25c martinis... which is completely insane! :) after lunch some of us go back to the hotel for a couple of hours to ... read more

Woke up early this morning to head off the New orleans! On our way there we drove through the Jackson from the J.Cash song and mysteriously out of nowhere the passenger side window in our van exploded!!! Took a little bit of time to get it covered so we could get to New Orleans but it wasn't too much of a hassle and didn't cause too much of a delay! We got to New Orleans in the early evening and we starting in our first hotel of the tour :) we checked in and got ready for our first night out on the town and a ghost tour! We had dinner at a nice restaurant and Christine took us on the ghost tour (she previously gave these tours when she lived in NOLA!) the city seems ... read more

Left Nashville this morning for Memphis the home of the blues and where Elvis and Johnny Cash started their careers! Our campground is literally next to graceland (elvis's home) and most of our group toured graceland however me, Helen and Christine decided to go to Sun Studios where Elvis and Cash recorded songs (along with a list of many other singers!). Sun studios was pretty cool and the original studio where they recorded is still in tact. Got to touch and take photo with one of 4 microphones that Elvis & Cash used while recording there and listen to original tapes that they recorded... all very cool :) After this we met back up with the rest of the group and chilled out for a bit before going to Beale street for dinner. I had pork ... read more

On our way to Nashville today! It stop was for breakfast at Cracker Barrell... food was so cheap not even $10 for pancakes, eggs, sausages and tea! We then went to set up camp then went to the shooting range to fire my first ever gun at Nashville Armory... the safety video was quite intimidating as there were obviously alot of rule to follow, luckily a supervisor helped us which we were in the range and taught us how to use the guns we hired! Didn't do too bad with the target however I got more and more nervous the longer I was holding the gun (my fav was the revolver which was simple to use). After the gun range we went back to camp and I did a bit of laundry and then we caught ... read more

Woke up this morning and packed up our tents to go to our next campsite near the ocoee river! We are starting to get more efficient at packing our stuff into the trailer now! One our way to the campsite we stop by a firework superstore to buy some fireworks as in Tennessee all fireworks are legal and there aren't really any regulations for them!! Didn't know what kind to buy but I ended up buying the best kind called festival balls!! Once we got to the campsite we got ready to go white water rafting down the ocoee river which was the best experience ever! Our rafting guide was lots of fun and we all ended but swimming in the river for a little the view around the river was beautiful and very green :) ... read more
