Today we had a lecture on the environment that was particularly interesting. Later we went to the US Embassy. It was really interesting the told us a lot and the questions we asked and got answered were neat. As they answered honestly. I really like how we learned a lot today. Tonight I went out with Cory, Tyler, Natalia, and Diep with Professor Wallin and Professor Yoshi for Chinese food to thank him. It was really neat, I learned that i liked one of Prof. Wallin's favorite foods. I also liked how we got to talk to him in a more relaxed setting. Later that night some of us went up to the arcade for a round or two on Tyco's Japanese drum game. I played once it is a lot harder that it seems. Tomorrow ... read more

After today's lecture we went out to Ueno Park. We went on a cultural visit to Ueno park. While there we went to the Tokyo National Museum, and the Ueno Park Zoo. Both were interesting. The museum had a lot of history in it, as well as historical swords. Which peaked my interest. The Zoo didn't have Giant Panda's as they died a-while-ago. That Night we went out with the Meiji kids we had a blast. ... read more

Today was out meetings with professor Wallin. My other two partners did there portion of the research and we were very prepared. I think Professor Wallin was happy with our progress and how we have a lot of outside research. After all the groups went and talked with the professor. Today we went to Odiaba and the Museum of Emerging Science. The Museum could have been interesting. But do to the hundreds of eight year old running around unattended it was frustrating and not enjoyable at all. To top it all off the robot Asimo was in for repairs so we couldn't see it preform. But after that we went to get some food, we ended up at a Italian place where we all go pizza. After that those of us who didn't go to the ... read more

Today was a free day, so we went to Disney Sea. We were there for about twelve hours. I took two videos, both of braviSEAmo. I got a thirty four second video of the water spirit and an eight minute four second video of the fire spirit through to the end. I took over three hundred pictures at Disney Sea. It was an extremely amazing place. They had a Mediterranean Harbor section, mostly Italian as they had gondola rides :P. They had a "Mysterious Island" area which was a 20,000 Leagues under the sea theme part. It had a life size replica of the Nautilus. The next area was a Little Mermaid themed place, Mermaid Lagoon. They had a life size model of King Triton's Castle in Atlantica. You could go inside it to a little ... read more

Today we went to Asakusa and saw the shrine there Between the two gates of the shrine there were lots of shops. I got a ______ and a ________ for my Girlfriend (HA thought you could read this and see what i bought you, sneaky sneaky). The shrine was all covered over though you could go inside. The five story Pagoda was beautiful, the other smaller shrines around it were pretty too. Tonight we are going to take it a little easy, get dinner than maybe go out. Some people talked about going back to Domo Domo to do the 545 yen all you can drink for an hour deal. or maybe the 315 cover charge and than 100 yen per drink for two hour deal. But we are going to Disney sea tomorrow, so I ... read more

Today we went to Gion, the Geisha district in the morning. It was interesting but it was better when we went at night, just a few of us. As we actually saw a Geisha than. After that we took the shinkansen back to Tokyo, back to the Sakura. This time I am happy with my room, as I get wireless in the room this time, which means I can Skype Allison in my room :P. I had to go to Akihabara my self to get a new charger for my camera battery. I ended up getting another kit that came with a spare battery, a little leather-ish carrying case, and a tripod. That night we went with some of the Meiji students to Domo Domo for drinks. It was a lot of fun as we missed ... read more

Today we spent the day in Nara, It was a really long train ride out there. But once we got there it was beautiful. First we went to Todai-ji Temple, it is the largest wooden structure in the WORLD! Even thou it is only two thirds of the original size due to earth quakes it is still the largest wooden structure ever. Inside this temple is the Daibutsu of Todai-Ji Temple. This is the "largest" bronze Buddha ever built. Thou some places in china say there bronze Buddha's are bigger. But do not be mistaken this is not the biggest one, just the largest bronze one, so they say. Standing next to the Daibutsu was awe inspiring, the sheer size of it was very impressive. There is a whole in the back of the temple in ... read more

Today we went to Nijo Castle. It was HUGE! I got a lot of pictures despite the fact that my camera died. This castle has floors that creek like a nightingale when ever you step on the no matter how lightly. The gardens were beautiful. I really like the detail everywhere. We spent a lot of time there as we decided to put Gion off till later as we had a lecture later that day and this castle took a while to get through. The lecture was at Kyoto University in a very high tech room. The lecture was interesting, and I learned a lot from it. But when we were all there. We all realized how almost all of us had gotten a cold. As the whole room was coughing, except me, as I just ... read more
