Well, it was a long time coming - but we're finally in and settled. We're just waiting for delivery of the new theatre sofa's & upstairs lounge stuff and then we're all done inside. Just the gardens to do after that.... read more

Time for a quick update, actually I have a ton of photo's of the house to upload but first off a few pics of Huck and Saffy. Saffy is a three month old Dane that Carol, (Hucks breeder), brought round to visit last week. She was great, she stole Hucks bed and toys and wouldn't let him near them. She really showed him who was boss. He loved it though.... read more

Kim & Steve, our photographer friends from the UK, took some more photo's of Huck when we visited them a couple of weeks back. These are taken at their local dog park, and at the dog beach in Mornington. Happy Easter everyone. Time for a little update. We have had fantastic weather over Easter, autumn in Victoria is perfect. Cool crisp mornings, blue skies, no wind and around 27 to 29 degrees each day. Lovely. We visited the site on Friday morning, the coving has all been fitted throughout, (including inside fitted wardrobes & cupboards??) and we have 2/3rds of a stair case. That was good, as it meant Emma could get upstairs for her first view of what it's going to look like when it's done. Everything is looking really good. We are having a few issues with our new neighbour already. He seems like a decent guy, but he is responsible for building the retaining walls between the houses, as it is the low side that is responsible. Unfortunately, he has just lost ... read more

We are officially at 'lock-up' stage, (although the back door was open today). We're probably 3 months away from moving in, as long as everything goes to plan. The plaster boards are all on and most of the external painting is done, just a bit left to do on the cladding above the garage. They'll probably plaster out the inside next week, then it's just fit-out, painting and flooring. I couldn't get upstairs as they've plastered over my access route, (I used to shin up the inside of the laundry chute Spiderman stylee). I met up with a landscaper at site today for some ideas and quotes on what to do with the drive and gardens. It's all getting a bit exciting! ... read more

We had a call from Hucks breeder a couple of weeks back, she had been invited to being a couple of Dane puppies along to the 'Guide Dogs' 2010 calendar photo shoot. She had kept one of her last litter for herself, and she thought of Huck. So, yesterday I took the day off and took Huck along to Rippon Lea Estate, a stately home close to the city. Emma nipped out from work as it was close by and met us there. Huck thought it was great to see his brother, Chevy, again. They ran riot. Unfortunately it was only 5 minutes until the photo call, so Huck was still hyper when we were trying to stage them for some pics.
