Tone, it sounds like you are having the time of a your life. It brings me back a couple of months to when J and I did our trip. Surf, Sun, Yoga, you can't beat it! It sounds like the Spanish lessons are going really well! I guess we might have to go back and stay for longer to get some education : ) Always looking for an excuse!!!

Hola Toni-Lynn - From: A Weekend Getaway at Playa Maderas
Sounds like you are having an incredible time, surfing, walking and site seeing, and oh yes spanish studies. Wow, the volcanoe trek seems like it will put you above the world that you have been experiencing. Get some interesting info regarding geology, and photos of flora and fauna. We can't wait to see your photos and share in your experiences through your stories. Take care and continue to have fun. Love, P and M

I'm so there - From: A Weekend Getaway at Playa Maderas
Thanks for this. I love travelers who know how to write (or writers who know how to travel). I don't expect to ever get up on a surf board, but the walk along the beach and the long hike up the volcano on the Isla are just my style and you've put me completely there. - dfp

hooray!! - From: Yo estoy aqui!
I am so excited for you! We loved it there! I hope you can check out a sunset at playa maderas. The sun sets right next to those crazy rocks in the water. I especially enjoyed it while drinking my new favorite beer, Tona. Parque Maderas is the name of the hostel we stayed in. You passed it on the dirt road on the way toward the beach. Did you end up going to Matildas? Eric and I walked over there but didn't go up to it. Has it been rainy? It was very dry when we were there. FYI, the hammocks there are well made, beautiful and inexpensive. What an amazing adventure you are embarking on! We can't wait to hear of all of your stories and see the beautiful pics! Oh, there is a Mediteranian Restaurant in San Juan del Sur that is out of this world! Miss you like crazy Tone! Next time we see you we will be Cape Cod residents... See ya soon! xoxoxox J (and Eric)
