Hey, it's an Alaska trip!!! The family is going for a long journey, and you are invited to come along too via this blog - just be willing to pay your own way. Four of us are leaving for Alaska and a college daughter will join us toward the end of the trip for a short while. She just wants to cross Alaska off her list. Grand opening

Well, preparations have been underway for a while now. One of the tasks was to get a travel blog going so this is it. We have our passports on the way (not a necessity since we are driving, but still a good idea. We have the solar panel on our RV for battery charging in the boonies. We have our RV outfitted (mostly) an will be fine tuning it for the next couple months. We have lists and lists of lists. We are fairly seasoned travelers, but this is a big trip. Well tomorrow is call again to see if Milepost Magazine 2007 has arrived. It either hasn't been released yet, or the local B & N is low on the list of deliverees. It's still a little too cold to wash the winter crud off the RV so that gets put off til next week. Then we can reorganize the storage compartments. We have a portable macerator pump for our tanks but haven't used it but once. It is not a fun thing to do but the convenience of it is super.
