| 5th June 2008 Carol Flowers | - From: Takk Frir = Thank You :) Hi Sweet Peas, I love the pictures. This really sounds like a dream vacation and I know you have so much to share with us. Can't wait to see you both and hear about everything. Hope to see you soon, Love, Mom (Mrs. Carol) |
| 5th June 2008 Dad T | View's - From: Takk Frir = Thank You :) The land has a harsh beauty, I am sure the lifestyle is not country cooking, fat in collards with a few jalepeno pepper but no whale. The sled dogs have a stare very similar to wolves that are being raised down here in the country. I know you are taking in the experience, now ON to BIG BROWN. He drew the # 1 pole position. Luv DAD T |
| 4th June 2008 Mom Tucker | Turn off the light! - From: Takk Frir = Thank You :) I can't believe you don't have darkness even that late. Even with daylight savings time we have dark by 8:00p.m. And the temp. here is high 80s low 90s! And we just got some fresh green beans and squash and onions from one of our church members, they are delicious! ! ! Of course nothing can compare to whale skin - they need to fry it though (pork skins). We miss ya'll but hope you are enjoying your trip - we LOVE the pictures, it is just like we are right there with you. Love ya'll. |
| 4th June 2008 TkVernes | whale skin - From: Takk Frir = Thank You :) sorry brad, no collards here. plenty of potatoes though, maybe they could put it in that...though i´m not sure that would help. it really was like eating a baseball glove. |
| 4th June 2008 brad sloan | hmm, whale skin - From: Takk Frir = Thank You :) reminds me of fat back. do they have collard greens over there? Maybe they could use that whale skin in those... |
| 31st May 2008 Dad T | Titanic? - From: And the Beat Goes On Only Kat would scream Titanic, I agree OMG. As for short cuts lets not forget the four-wheeler short cut where you discovered the telephone pole, careful but have a great time. Love You Both, Dad T |
| 30th May 2008 Brad Sloan | Awesome! - From: Visiting with Bjork Hope the trip is going well...since it's summer, I guess you won't have to worry about Tim digging out a snow cave to hibernate. Keep an eye on him though- his Yeti instincts might take over. Before you know it, he's run off in the woods and you'll never see him again. Add more pics! |
| 27th May 2008 Mom Tucker | Don't forget your jacket! - From: Visiting with Bjork By now ya'll are in the cold weather and as your mother it is my job to remind you to wear your jacket! Have fun, we look forward to visiting Greenland and Iceland with you. Love, Mom |
| 11th July 2007 Paul | Wow - From: Spain Continues...this time with family This must seriously be some of the more beautiful architecture I have seen in my life. Gorgeous. Now, I wish that Erin and I would have been able to visit! |
| 6th July 2007 Mom Flowers | Hello - From: The Hemingway Adventure Hi Bull Runners, You know that I am not very computer-savvy, so I think I have been writing you in the wrong place. Oh, well I hope you have received my notes anyway. Love the pictures - makes me want to go there. Everything is fine here. Petry is having a ball and we are spoiling him rotten! We had a quiet Fourth and ate ribs with Paul and Barbara's family - yum. We are going home today and to Atlanta tomorrow (Saturday) to take Bella and Petry back. Love to all, Mom Flowers |
| 6th July 2007 Nana | Just one more comment! - From: The Hemingway Adventure On Saturday, ya'll run fast! I really enjoy this "TravelBlog" thing. |
| 6th July 2007 Nana | The Hemingway Adventure - From: The Hemingway Adventure Hi- I don't understand why this is called "The Hemingway Adventure", please explain. Your pictures are gorgeous, they look professional. I am glad you commented that Tim was making a "pirate" face, I thought the barnacles were just tough and he couldn't chew them! How do you know if you are getting good gas prices over there? Have you learned a new money system? I LOVED Tim and friends! Is the weather cool? I noticed Tim had on his jacket? The picture of the little flowers in the valley in Los Picos de Europa is beautiful. The cathedrals keep getting more and more beautiful. One last question - are the sheets on the beds in the hostel clean? Love and miss ya'll, Nana |
| 6th July 2007 Lizzy | Boredom in Alabama - From: The Hemingway Adventure HEY TIMMY AND KATA!! I am jealous yall are over there and I hope nobody has any horns in your hinnys! I got to talk to Bec from Mexico today..... thanks for buying a European phone guys! Tim don't you think hostels are creepy? I saw a naked guy running down a hall once when I was over there.... ew... Kata probably just LOVES it so she can meet new foreign people! hah! | 6th July 2007 Aunt Jane | Awesome Pictures - From: The Hemingway Adventure Thanks for sharing all the wonderful pictures! They are beautiful. I wish I was there with ya'll. I hope you plan to be spectators only during the running of the bulls! Don't get a wild hair and decide you can outrun them. Please do not allow Bobby D. to do this, okay? Be safe and have a wonderful time. Love and blessings, Aunt Jane |
| 5th July 2007 Allen | Beautiful Scenes - From: Portuguse is "not" Spanish Great pictures and looks like you are both having lots of fun. It is July 5th and all has quieted down. No beer can chicken this year we did "Baby Back Ribs". Everyone had a wonderful time. It was a contest between Jill and Ashley to see who could talk the loudest. Reese is really cute very quite. Morgan enjoyed her slip and slide in the backyard, she was excited she learned the belly slide. McCain hung out with me for an afternoon nap. Chip crashed on the couch and Austin in "Tim's" room. The ladies did the kitchen table thing catching up on life. Be careful with the bulls and have fun. Glad Aslison arrived safely we all look forward to seeing you soon. Love and miss you. |
| 3rd July 2007 Nana | Portuguse is "not" Spanish - From: Portuguse is "not" Spanish Hi- Loved the pictures. I had no idea a "hostel" was so nice! ! ! Know that we love you if the bulls beat you in the run, we'll take good care of McCain. I'll show him the pictures of ya'll with the dogs and I know he will bark at them. Our 4th is growing - Aunt Anne and Austin will be here. Now Ashley, Chip, Morgan and Reese are coming to help Aunt Anne unload the truck to move in the apartment (in front of the Country Club). Even if "all" of our family is not present we will celebrate. Please send more pictures when you can or just a "blog" to let us know where you are located. I really like the map, I can understand it! Love, Nana |
| 30th June 2007 TkVernes | u blue! - From: Portuguse is "not" Spanish dude, ´ you´´re my boy, blue....you´re always my boy! |
| 29th June 2007 Rebecca and Bella | Bull in the Butt - From: Portuguse is "not" Spanish HEY HEY OVER THERE!!! It's me and mini-me (well, mom and dad kidnapped her for a week)! As I sit here in my office all alone, 5:00 on a Friday afternoon, I read your blog for the 10th time drooling. I am soooo jealous! Isn't Europe great! Viva La Italy (ok, I am a little obsessed). I know you two aren't going to Italy. I LOVE all your pictures. I also LOVE your haircut and highlights Kat. Ok, back to Spain and Portugal...I am so glad you two are having a blast. I cannot wait to hear all about it and look at all your pics when ya'll get back. Al is on her way over there now on a plane. Robbie and I are headed to Mexico in the morning. We will look for more blogs from you. Watch out for the bull's horns...hahaha!! I LOVE YA'LL!!!! |
| 27th June 2007 Mom | Portuguse is \"not\" Spanish - From: Portuguse is "not" Spanish Hi- We were so glad to hear from ya'll. It was good to know you are safe, well and happy. We would love to see pictures but guess we can wait until you return. Please do keep sending "blogs" so we can enjoy your trip with you! Love, Mom P.S. I just realized that I am not the only "Mom" so I will go to my future name - Love, Nana |
| 27th June 2007 paul | yeah - From: Portuguse is "not" Spanish Hola (is that how you say hello in Portugese?) How goes it? Sounds like you are both having a great time- and once again I am jealous, but in a good and godly way, you know? :) Is it hot there? It is stinking hot in Ohio, so my guess would be that it is the same there? Anyway, I have a an idea why Northern Spain is nicer than Southern Spain: Northern Spain is closer to Europe and Southern Spain is closer to those damn terrorists, I mean isn't that what the bible says, or something like that. Yeah. So, have fun and enjoy your run with the bulls and as I said before, when you get back we must do some kind of trip- maybe in Autumn or something. Love you both, Paul |
| 26th June 2007 Robbie | Barcelona - From: Portuguse is "not" Spanish Make sure if you go to Barcelona, that you don't call the people there "Spanish" or "Spaniards". They prefer to be called "Catalons" or "Catalonians". |
| 26th June 2007 Allen | James Wow - From: Portuguse is "not" Spanish Glad you having such a wonderful experience. Love you both. |
| 22nd June 2007 Mom | Good-bye for now! - From: Hail, KY We love you and will miss you but I propably will be seeing what you are doing more now than if you were in Kentucky. Have a good trip. Send us a message EACH day or when ever you see something neat. Love and Kisses to you both, Mom |
