TjSimmons - Trevor Simmons

Trevor Simmons "Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you did not do, than by the things you did do. So, throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover! - Mark Twain"
I have lived in Canada my whole life. I grew up in Vancouver and Calgary, currently residing a 45 minute boat ride off the coast of Tofino, BC.
Come September, I will be studying at UBC in Vancouver.

I first caught the travel bug when I was 18 while spending 4 months in Asia. Now I am constantly dreaming of my next trip, exploring new territories where familiarities are scarce and differences are plentiful.

"The pleasure in traveling consists of the obstacles, the fatigue, and even the danger. What charm can anyone find in an excursion when he is always sure of reaching his destination, of having horses ready waiting for him, a soft bed, an excellent supper, and all the eases and comfort he can enjoy in his own home! One of the great misfortunes of modern life is the want of any sudden surprise, and the absence of all adventure. Everything is so well arranged.

My favourite travel quotes :) What can I say....I love being adventurous.

Saturday night the hostel was booked so I was going to sleep in the back seat of her car but was offered a bed at one of her friends' vacation home. Funny how things sometimes just work out in your favor, I wasn't even asking for [View Full Entry]

June 7th was a great day. I got to hike Mt. Guimes (most of) with 3 other staff members from the outpost. The hike was from sea level to 1100+ meters. This was a steep hike the whole way up. Very scenic views at the top and throughout the hike. It took us 6 hours to hike up, and 4 hours to get back down. On the way up we would hike for 45 minutes to an hour and then take a 10 minute breather before proceeding with the hike. Still in the forest, we encountered a section with boulders scattered [View Full Entry]
