| 8th August 2008 Shannon | yay Udaipur - From: Jodhpur/India Of all the cities you've mentioned, Udaipur was my favorite. Are you stopping at Ranakpur? I suppose not if you're taking the train - it's also beautiful - just a cluster of Jain temples in the forest. Udaipur was one of the first cities where it was actually enjoyable to walk around (we went in reverse order from you - Bikaner, Jodhpur, then Udaipur, Ranakpur, Ranthambore, and Jaipur). Have fun! The pictures have been so cute so far and I have really been enjoying reading your journal! |

| 2nd February 2008 denidax | impressed - From: San Francisco/USA I discovered your blog a few days ago and I must say I am very impressed!!!!! I think is really cool what you're doing, it's the perfect way to teach your daughter that the world is not only Walt Disney fantasies and princesses, but tough and beautiful at the same time... I'm sure she'll grow up to be a very open minded person used to be with and talk to people, instead of one of those children who only want "mummy and daddy" and can't even look at anyone else... We have 2 friends on a RTW trip and a few days ago, his sister was saying that it was the trip of a lifetime because once the children arrive there's no more traveling... you are setting a great example to prove that, if you want, you can, so I must take my hat off and say "well done" you guys!!!!! I hope to read more from you soon Good luck |
| 25th January 2008 ruins_explorer | - From: Siem Reap(Temples of Angkor)/Cambodia I died with cuteness reading this. Poor Elmo! Your daughter is so cute and how wonderful that you are taking her to these places. I am thinking of having kids this year (and am an avid traveller) and good to see the two hobbies can be combined. |
| 10th January 2008 Gina | What a delight! - From: San Francisco/USA To spend such a magnificent journey with you and your little one! We are planning to journey through Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam with our 12 year old and 2 year old daughters. My husband is very positive but I find myself experiencing highs and lows - is my 2 year old too young - am I putting her health unecessarily at risk? Should I wait until she is older? Your exquisite photographs and dialogue expressed as tho through your daughter's eyes is food for the soul. Thank you for sharing your experience! I am researching thoroughly but if you are willing to provide any tips or share impressions they would be most welcome :) |
