Continued fun on your travels,

Dinner at Auntie's Allyne and Jordan we miss you! Have been following the blog-great idea. As with all adventures vehicular creativity is just another added element and it sounds like y'all have masters in mechanical jargon now minus a few more cords. Just wanted you to know they'll be cold beer and good food available in return for your storytelling when you arrive back. I'll be going for Grandpa's 79 birthday, and meeting the bro's there so perhaps I should blog the event as I'm sure they'll be some moments of interest as the boy's begin to reminesce and try to outdo each other in the imbibing of spirits with Dad! I'll be gone April 20 to 28, so let me know when your back and we'll get together. Love Auntie Fawnne P.S. Congratulations in following your travel goals through, can we borrow the R.V? once its fixed? Bye
aaaarrrrrrr -- vvvveeeee hell Hi Crew! We shouldn't have talked about how good the old RV was doing in Panama. Sounds stressful but also sounds exciting with all the new adventures you're having. Now you're cramming all the surfing you can get in to the last days before the big streak home. At least in the US you can talk to mechanics. We are back home and losing our tans already. It's been cold and rainy here so enjoy your days in the sun while they last. We had a storm at the campground at Porteau Cove and the waves were washing under our motorhome! Huge logs bouncing in the waves just feet from our bed! You could have surfed the waves, but it was freezing cold.
I hope you're taking lots of pictures Jos - get new batteries for your camera! See you all back in Vancouver soon! Be safe and take care.
Ah ha ha, Managuans. They love to tell you how dangerous the city is. Every time Scott and I got in a taxi in Managua the driver was always all, "You guys shouldn't be walking out on this street! It's very dangerous!" Though my LP book tells me Managua is statistically the safest Central American capital city, I never felt comfortable there.
I really loved Leon. I hope you guys had a good time there. Ometepe, too. I had some shockingly good food there (locally grown bananas, mmmm).
at least you have a tan! miss you allyne. as sucky as that sounds, it's an adventure you'll never forget! sounds like a good movie :)
relax, enjoy, try to find me a shell while your rv's getting fixed.
shanxmum,
megan
jesus jord i think you need to do something to change your luck jord, every third blog you get hurt lol, hope it heals and i hope you get some good surf!! if you do get some video that would be sweet. Its puking in the fern right now first time in 2 months im stoked!! Anyways hope the adventure home goes smoothly
love ryan
Wow... it truly sounds like you guys are in paradise... i am soooo jealous BUT I'm glad to hear you all arrived there safely. I'm here in rainy ass vancouver sitting in bed on a saturday, 10 in the morning on a grey day cuz of all the heavy rain clouds that are covering this city, plus i'm all pregnant and getting bigger by the day, thus making it more difficult for me to get out of bed..and just DREAMING about being exactly where you guys all are...ughh...!!! I miss the road trips days of Nate and I... just out there with nothing but road and beach destinations ahead of us... enjoy each and every minute of this. This is the time of your lives and kudos to you all for making it happen! Loving the updates guys so keep em coming! Take care! xx
Helllllooooooo What an amazzzzziiiingggg trip... I'm getting sentimental about our trip down the coast :( Have an amazing time everyone... My reading week was spent snowboarding Ontario... Really not the same.
Good luccckkkkkk
xooxoxoxo geeetha
Way to go travellers! Two more borders to go! What crazy laws they have. I hope Jordan's thumb is OK. Sounds like you guys are getting good at dealing with the policia. Good thing $20 is a lot of money to them.
Two weeks till we fly down.. Can't wait to see you all and hear your stories. Jocelyn and Simon, do you want to drive the car down to Panama to meet us, spend Friday night there (Mar 5th) and head back the next day? Norm has rented us a room. If not, we'll take the bus up to Las Tablas like Braden did. See you real soon. Take care all!
More Trouble All right, guys! Stick it to the man!
Remember: possession is 9/10 of the law. Convert that to pesos and it's somewhere around 12/10. Be weary of giving up the goods.
Sounds like it's fight, fight, fight, fight, barter a fine. I suppose that if you barter a fine up front, you just get hosed, though. Remember: This is fun!
Jordan, in the name of Carlos Beltran would you please stop getting hurt! Thank you.

Catchin' Up Hi Girls:
Glad to read about the trip, sounds like fun. I sent an e-mail to your mom don't know if you heard Robyn and Scott got married on the 6th in their apartment. Small group 15 or do and grandpa and Pat came which was a surprise but nice to see them. warm here no snow on Cypress for the Olympics so they are trucking it in from Manning park, crazy. Have a great time enjoy the waves, see you when you get back.
Love
Uncle Doug
Wow! You Guys this Blog makes me a bit emotional I'm not going to lie. What an epic, outstanding, fantastic journey you have embarked on. I absolutely love the fact that you 5 are out there experiencing the coast, and sharing it with everyone. (Props to Auntie Bonnie for the idea) I only wish one day I can rig up the guts to pull something like this. Absolutely fascinating, and I can't wait to hear more.
Love from Vancouver,
Darcy.
see you soon Hi all! thanks for all the updates. It's fun reading about your experiences. And the pictures are great.
I can't believe the cops ripped you off! I hope there wasn't too much money lost. And what about ID? Hard to travel without it If I travel there, I'll have a fake wallet planted and laugh my way down the road when they steal it. Never trust a mexican.
Alyne - wow! Good for you for not freaking out and driving off the road! I hope it didn't sting too bad. And the MH sounds like it's holding up well. You'll know all the good places to stay when you are done.
Rick and Deb spent 3 weeks in Panama and didn't have fish once! There wasn't any around! I was hoping to have a few really fresh fish dinners, but maybe I won't. But I did see Rick's picture of the tarantula - yikes!
We'll see you guys real soon (Wow that went fast!) Looking forward to hearing your stories. Stay safe and keep on trucking! Love, Janine
jealous! there isnt a word to describe how freaking sweet your adventure is you guys are like Indiana Jones or something, bring me back some aztek gold!
love you guys Hey you Two: I love hearing about your trip.....wow! So amazing, I'm very proud of you two and here's my cheers to you having an amazing trip!
(title) Wow - nobody stand too close to Jordan. There's bound to be falling anvils sooner or later. Good to hear that the dog is adjusting and making friends.
As for the waves; fuck it! Paddle out there and drop in. You've bought the ticket, now take the ride.

mooey gran-day! Ola surfer group! It's sure nice to read your blogs. I sent a comment earlier but it looks like it didn't show up. Sounds like things are going well for you - even the sinking in the sand worked out. $20 and you were out! Another adventure to tell your grandchildren about. I can't believe the waves are too big for you! If you can surf the westcoast of BC, you should be able to handle warmer waters - but that's my inexperienced opinion. I know how big the waves look when they are crashing down on you! Joslyn - I would think the big waves would be the ultimate challenge for you.
Too bad Trooper doesn't like the water - it might be the salt. Keep taking him in and he might get used to it. What a life he is having now - I bet he never guessed what would happen when you took him home with you. Chevy would be so happy to be travelling and swimming with us.
I hope you are taking lots of pictures. Can you post any to this blog?
If you are heading for Guatemala, it sounds like you will be getting to Panama earlier than March. Rick and Deb are still there until the end of January. Rick is building a road. We are enjoying a very mild winter here - it feels like spring. Only problem is there is no snow on Cypress for the Olympics - it all got washed away so they have to bring in snow that they stockpiled. Trees are already blooming, tulips sprouting up. El Nino is giving us a nice winter.
I can't wait to see you guys in Panama. I am getting excited already - and I'm constantly checking the web for more info on Panama. We'll be there on March 5th for two weeks. Maybe Jos can give me a surfing lesson - haha
Thanks for blogging - we are all thinking of you and trying not to worry about your escapades. Stay safe and keep having a blast - you are making awesome memories. See you soon!
Glad to hear Hi---Bonnea has given me a link, so I'm happy to hear how things are going. It sounds as though you're having fun. Tell Jordan to watch his feet! P
Ola! So nice to hear from 'the crew'. I hope you are enjoying the motorhome and beaches. We've had mucho grande rain here. (I hope that means very much)
I'm surprised you didn't stay long in southern Cal. But warmer water is a draw for sure. The heat has moved south and seems to be staying there. Should be nice and hot when you get to Panama. Sure looking forward to seeing you there. Can't wait.
Take care and don't take any chances with the Mexicali.
Bueno blog Glad you made it to Mexico. Hope you find a good place to hang out for awhile that is safe. I don't see san Carlo on your map is it very far across the border? Every thing is fine here, the beach girls are waiting to meet Trooper. maybe he can teach them how to swim. We are off to the Ocu fair tomorrow. Staying in Santiago tonight. will keep you posted. Hope to have internet soon.
We are a group of 4 (plus one canine unit) Traveling from Canada to Panama along the Pacific coast Surfing along the way, traveling in a small RV.
