The landlady is getting the new fridge this week while we're away. There's also a laundry room off to the left of the kitchen which has a washer and a dryer.

The landlady is also getting new mattresses for these beds and a bed for us. Our bedroom is across the hall.

When you walk through the door next to the kitchen, the family room/dining room is one big room with the family room section to your left and the dining room in the back.

This is the view of the family room from the dining room (looking back toward the front of the house. To the left of this is the door to the kitchen and a bunch of big, wooden closets along the walls.

Here's the little sitting area just inside the front door. Our bedroom is actually just through the 'gate' behind the couch.

This is the view out our front door. Note the view of the mountains in the background. To get to the street, you walk down some steps at the end of the walkway, through the garage, and, you guessed it, out the gate.

There are 3 other apartments that share our garage and yard. We met a few of the neighbors this morning and they seem very nice.

The kids already found a little area in the bushes in the yard to be their forteleza (fort in Spanish).

Wasn't there a Kinks song that talked about the 'local pali'? Well, here it's the supermercado down the street. We've been told it's the cheapest one in town. Not a place to 'Come Dancin'...
