On our first day walking around San Pedro, the suburb of San Jose in which we´re staying, our tired family found a play place (similar to those found at McDonalds´) in the American Mall (and the kids made a new friend).

And it was good, too!!

Our second night in Costa Rica, we found the neighborhood Chinese restaurant. It was very good...and we found out that Ellie LOVES Chow Mein (or Chaumin as they called it on the menu).

We had a 7 hour layover in Miami so we rented a car and headed to South Beach for lunch and a little beach time.

Thanks to Grandpa for dropping us and all our stuff off at the Newark Airport early in the am of December 6th!

We arrived late at night, got to our host families house around midnight, and woke up to this view outside our window in the morning. See the mountains in the distance and the corrugated steel roofs, typical here.

We have two bedrooms and a private bathroom in our host family's home. Note the short sleeves... don't mean to make you jealous, but it's in the 70s during the day and 60s at night.
