Vietnam and Cambodia - From: SAI GON - CU CHI TUNNELS
I am sitting here reading about your sights, thoughts, observations, impressions and the history of Vietnam and Cambodia. Tears are filling my eyes for the innocent peolpe who have been doomed to be born at that horrific time in the civilization of their countries. As you say words are meaningless in the enormity of their suffering within their own countries. Your writing is incredible and has conveyed the absolute horror that is unimaginable to us - how can anyone do such things and think up such cruelty? I am also thinking of you both and hoping you are managing to continue enjoying your travels. I also agree with your thoughts, and appreciate your efforts, to 'save our planet'. You are not alone in your thinking. Take care and thank you so much for your reports. Lots of love, Linda

Bleak Siberia - From: YEKATERINENBURG - IRKUTSK
You are making my days at present. Each day I log on to check to see if there is a new entry and am never disappointed. Siberia looks so bleak but I can't help but also think it reminds me of home in the middle of Winter - complete with naked silver birch trees Virginia. I have passed on your blog details to quite a few people as it is so interesting - it will keep Dad busy for many hours, checking all the photos, maps and your exceptional narrative. Good to see you wearing your warm hat Mike! Take care, Linda

Great reading and recording - From: AUSCHWITZ
Hi Mike and Virginia - am thoroughly enjoying reading your commentary and seeing the photos. It is a superb record and what an amazing trip you will have. I have been thinking of you both heaps, especially after your trip to Auschwitz - I am sure that would have had an enormous impact and so sad and pointless beyond comprehension. I did try to send you an earlier comment but think I may have inadvertently deleted it. The weather here is getting warmer with lots of sunshine, flowers and birdsong. Take care and thanks so much for keeping in such good contact. Is it possible to have accomodation contacts or can I only get in touch via the blog or email. LOL Linda

Thanks for the Great Contact - From: AUSCHWITZ
Hi to you both. I am thoroughly enjoying your blog - great photos and wonderful commentary Virginia. The map on the side helps me to follow your trail. It all looks amazing. I imagine no words can ever say what feelings and thoughts would occur when at Auschwitz. Hope all is well. Summer has arrived here with temperatures in the mid 20s and breakfast out on the deck with the birds. Nice that you ran into a few Kiwis in Bratislava. Cheers, Linda
