Hello all Ready? Let’s begin. Last entry was from the Cameron Highlands, which was nice and cool and we had a great time trekking and just chilling out in the restaurants. However I have many places to visit so I couldn’t just hang around there all month. Next stop was Taman Negara National Park. We read up on this place in the travel book we have and it sounded cool. Lots of walking in rainforests to be done and eating at the riverside restaurants. We took a mini bus from our hotel in the Cam Highlands which picked us up at 7.30am; too early especially considering that we had stayed up till 5am watching the champion’s league final. So after only 2 hrs sleep we were on the bus heading to the national park. Slept on ... read more

Part Two We got the mini bus from Krabi in the morning, about 10.30am and should arrive in Penang, Malaysia about 8pm. The women we bought the ticket from said we should get our Malaysian Ringgit in Malaysia were we would get a better exchange rate. Arrived in Hat Rin (i think) just about 30 mins from the Thai/Malay border were we had to wait two hours to changed mini bus. So we walked around and found a KFC, had some grub there and then got on the bus. We met some Malay guys and a girl from Hong Kong on the bus. Got chatting and it turns out they had just come from the full moon party in Ko Phagnan, they said it was fantastic, so we will be heading there later on our trip. ... read more

Right then, the best place to start I suppose is from where I left off. As I remember I said we were going to head south towards the Similan islands. Well we had to make some small adjustments. We took the overnight bus from Bangkok down to Phuket. The bus journey took 18 hours and included 4 bus changes and a robbery. On our 3 leg of the trip we were all on top deck watching the 4th installment of bloody King Kong this holiday with the sound really high. With that a guy sat behind us decided to go to the toilet downstairs, when he came back up he grabbed everyone’s attention by saying ‘we’re being robbed!’, of course everyone jumped up. He said that the luggage compartment had black tape over the window and ... read more

We're There

Hello dear friends I have arrived in Bangkok and have been busy for the past 3 days. Let’s start at the beginning shall we. Left London on Monday and was stuck on a bloody plane for what seemed like days. Bloke in front of me felt it necessary to flatten me into my chair by reclining his chair for the whole of the trip. Watched King Kong 3 times and ate loads of food. Overall the flight was crap and not looking forward to the return trip. Got into BKK on the Tuesday - through customs with no hassle, walked out of the front door of the airport and was knocked back by the heat. It’s incredible how people can actually venture out willingly in the heat. It must have been about 35’c and is way ... read more
