Bret's Two Cents

I'm not sure how manly man a guy is who has to consult the owner's manual to figure out where to place the jack. But I appreciate Melissa's devotion to her mechanically challenged husband. Nonetheless we got the tire fixed and are now riding high on some brand new 33 MTR's.We met a really great couple in Death Valley Cameron and Patti. They were sitting outside the general store near th

Hello

Hey EveryoneJust wanted to give you a quick update on our travels. We are in Bishop CA for a few days. We travelled from Lassen south and stayed the night in Carson City NV. I had to get internet for school and that was the closest city. Carson City is not fancy for being a capital. It is desert with some foothills with pine trees. Nothing spectacular at all. I did find out from my gran

It's time for the double post I'll keep it super short since Melissa has already posted a lengthy blog detailing our adventures and misadventures over the past couple of weeks.

It's been so long

Hey everyone. How long has it been Quite awhile and we have done so much so this will probably be a lengthy blog. So here it goesAfter we left Bellingham we found our way to Mt. Rainier. What a beautiful place. We stayed on the Sunrise side and stayed for 3 days. The first day we hiked 9 miles and did some ridge running. That was fun. It was very hard hiking but fun. The next day we hi

Delayed and ready to move on

Here we are the end of week three and still in Bellingham. The good news is that the camera will be arriving tomorrow and we will be getting the hell out of dodge. It has been nice in Bellingham but we are ready to move on. We spent the first 5 nights in a great campground at the Larabee State Park. It was right by the beach had rv hook ups and showers. Yep we showered. 2 showers in 2 week

Since my photos are on my laptop and Melissa's photos are on her laptop we have to make one entry each to upload photos. So I apologize for the duplicate notices you will all get each time we update the site.As you know we spent a few days in the North Cascades of Washington. Something Melissa failed to mention is that Sasquatch aka Bigfoot is a resident of these mountains. I hoped our wildl

Week 2 and still going strong

Well it is the end of week 2 and everything is still great except for one thing. Bret's camera broke. Yep broke. There is a dial on the back that is the main control of most of its functions and it has broke. How and why we don't know. The dial stopped working while we were in Glacier but he was still able to use it until the hike in the North Cascades. We were coming back from a hike an

Week 1 of our HoneymoonRoadtrip

What a great week it has been. We left Denver and headed to Teton National Park where we spent a day putzing around picking up some forgotten items and looking for a place for Bret to photograph sunset. Instead of staying in the Tetons we headed to Yellowstone. We camped just outside the park at a great campground that was FREE. We hope to remember it in the future. It was set aside a braide
