Ok well here I am in Melbourne, I was staying at Tims house last week, which was fun, I went kayaking and swimming in the sea and just relaxing doing nothing. I got into the city on Friday and booked inot my hostel which is very nice. That night I went out into the city for a few beers which was very fun (except for the morning after headache). I also went to the local market which was very big, which sold almost everything from fruit to UGG boots. Got a few plans this week to go to the acquarium and [View Full Entry]

Ok so here I am in Victoria in Mt Ilisa, I took a flight from Emerald to Brisbane and from there to Melbourne. I got the bus to the city centre where I then got on the Metro to Cheltenam when Tim picked me up. The area is very nice and I am very close to the beach. Good news I should be able to upload some photos very soon. They are not very exciting, most are from the farm and from the trip I took to NSW. [View Full Entry]

Well my ranch training is nearly over and I have learnt a lot! Motorbike riding was very fun going over dirt tracks (very very fast) and riding quad bikes up and down very steep slopes. Driving a 4X4 (Ute- Australian name for 4X4) up a steep dirt track, driving the tractor and moving dirt from one place to another. And putting up a fence which we had to go find a tree cut it down strip the bark off and join it onto another fence 100m away so we put up 100m of fencing before dark just in time. I have [View Full Entry]

Wow what a day. Got up at 5:30AM and started our ranch training at around 7AM. Horse riding is difficult but by the end of the morning I rode very fast (but im sure im infertile now) we had a bit of mustering cattle and the training ranch is really in the outback a few trees but very warm and its only spring. In the afternoon we practiced driving the ute (4X4) and I like to thing I was very good at that. They split the group into 5's and tomorrow we will do all the things the other group did.
