Well you may have been made aware already but since you wrote about the canadiens I thought I would update you. You are lucky (sort of) they didn't sign the Sedins (Vancouver did) or Kovalev (Ottawa did !) but they have done some strange things. Traded Higgins and McDonaugh for Scott Gomez (big salary pickup) and another defense man prospect. Then they signed Brian Gionta and Mike Cammalerri. So basically they decided to go with the "nobody over 5 foot 8" tactic. Ooops, except for Hal Gill, which brings up the average I guess. Since then they have signed Travis Moen (good pickup) and Paul Mara. overall not bad, but a little confusing.

Red Bull? - From: Bull running you say?
Hi Mike, Just saw in the AM paper today that a local was not so lucky in his attempt to run with the bulls. A bull got off script and started running the other way looking for people he missed when he went by the first time. Must have been a blast running with them and to only get a bruise is not too much of a price to pay. Saw your folks etc and Sir Paul in Halifax Sat. He put on a great show, another must see event for your "to do" list. Take care, Uncle Ross

I had a feeling..... - From: Bull running you say?
Okay, I should have known....I read a few articles online and in the paper about this year's running of the bulls and SOMETHING was niggling at me ......but I did NOT put two and two together until Thursday of last week when I sat bolt upright in the middle of the night thinking "MIKE and BULLS"....I should have known. Stay safe Mike and have fun! Love Mom

Wow. That's quite a story about your hat. Way ta go... sticking up for your hat! Glad you made it safe and sound to Thailand. I'd love to go there someday! absolutely gorgeous - From: A barbarian at the gates
I am looking at pictures right now...it is absolutely incredible...just what I imagined a beautiful beach would look like! However, the article I was reading said that half the year you have to seriously consider wearing a stinger suit before entering the briny, due to random flights of toxic jellies (yes, the deadliest critter in the world, land or sea, but lycra suits are usually provided by tour vessels.) Be very careful Mike....but have lots of fun!

do it up - From: Finally made it to Australia
Hey Mike, Happy belated buddy. looks like you are having a good time. I told you i would keep you up to date on the Habs. They did nothing at the trade deadline. absolutely nothing. Even the sens were able to get rid of Gerber. So you are stuck with Kovalev. I'll let you know when they get knocked out of the playoffs. haha. take care.
