I am so exhausted right now that I am actually knodding off at an internet cafe in London as I talk to you folks. So far so good- arrived in London at 6 am local time, took the bus down town, took the tube to our hostel, were turned away due to the extremely early local time and have spent the last several hours walking aimlessly around the neighborhood, in a city where it is impossible to navigate around. We havent been lost yet, and we are allowed into the hostel in just over an hour, so I look towards greener [View Full Entry]

Apparently it is unadvisable to ask girls to dance while in Halifax. Sitting at a table at St Alexanders Pub in Halifax with 2 middle aged rednecks from Red Deer talking about gas prices was hardly what I had enivisioned for my night on the town in Halifax. And so, I stood up walked over to a table of harmless looking girls and kindly asked if any of them would feel like dancing. Suddenly as if sensing my foul intentions, an arm grabbed me and forcefully escorted me into the streets. Alone, drunk and bewildered, I found my way to another [View Full Entry]

Sometimes the emotional roller coaster of life decides to give you a hell of a ride. This is the description of the ride that took place on the day of September 5, 2005. Low- After a night of drunken debauchery in which Darcy and I drank heavily at PEI National Park with some new friends from Hamilton, the next morning began shockingly early, with our tent shaking violently. Apparently one of our less roudy neighbors thought that our guitar playing from the night before was not to her liking and that it was her duty to make sure our day got [View Full Entry]

There is something to be said for summer in a place with 9 months of winter every year. Seasonal depression, pasty white skin, and vitimin D deficencies are abandoned for the glorious heat and girly drinks with umbrellas that are all too common in Saskatchewan in summer. Theres only 8 weekends of decent weather a year in Regina and so each one seems to bring with it a festival or gathering of some sort. Event #1- Taste of Regina + Flatlands Music Festival all I need is a pair of dancin shoes and one of those girly drinks with umbrellas; or [View Full Entry]

My world came shattering down as I learned the amount of fun it was possible to have. Its hard to explain why this was the best weekend of my life. Maybe it was the Amateur strip night at Club 3D, maybe it was the mind boggling array of amazing live music, maybe it was the 5AM jam sessions in a castle, or maybe it was being at one with 10,000 dirty hippies. The heavens opened up, thunder and lightning began their dance and oceans of water came barreling down from above, as the 97' beige Mazda Protege rolled on. The car [View Full Entry]

Oh please dont get me started, my hearts in the center of my chest. it starts with an itch. everything about home becomes bland and boring. Settling into an mind bogglingly normal routine. Raisin Bran for breakfast, sandwhich for lunch, meat and potatoes for supper. Get drunk once a week with the same people youve been getting drunk with once a week since highschool. Diarreah once or twice a week. Damn Raisin Bran for being so delicious. I digress. Everything in Regina is Millhouse- the friends, family, the good times- unbeatable. But back to the itch... its still there and its [View Full Entry]
