Buenos Aires's most recognizable monument
Hang on to your hats people! I haven't written a blog in over 30 days, so I kind of have a lot to report. Let's start by saying that after my last entry I wanted to cover some ground on seeing some classic Buenos Aires sights. So, Diego and I made a trek through Buenos Aires and took a lot of pictures of some must see Buenos Aires monuments: Plaza San Martin, Edificio Kavanagh, Puente de la Mujer, Fragata Presidente Sarmiento, to name a few. All of the items on this table came to a bill of less than $8.00
I guess it has been about 3 weeks from my last Blog, and a lot has happened since then. The weather has lightened up a bit here in BA, and most days have been between 40 to 65 degrees Farenheit. In Celsius, which they use here, I believe it has been between 4.4 and 18.5 degrees. We had a homemade Karaoke party in Diego's house with his friends. The song lyrics were running on my computer screen and we had a microphone hooked up to the stereo speakers. Hace Mucho Frio! As it turns out, Buenos Aires is pretty cold this time of year. I knew it was the winter in the Southern Hemishphere this time of year, but man, it is cold here!!! Due the inclement weather, Diego and I have been somewhat homebodies. We watch a lot of American movies with Spanish subtitles. We bought a futon couch that is really cute so that we comfortably watch the movies. Also, we have been preparing a lot of meals at home.
