Remember remember the fifth of November Gunpowder, treason and plot. I see no reason why gunpowder, treason Should ever be forgot... Every year on November 5th the British fire off fireworks amounting to the GDP of a small African nation, and burn an effigy on a bonfire. It sounds a bit sadistic and, as an outsider, it definitely appears to be that way. On a late fall day, that hardly looked like a late fall day, I went over to the Penines to hike a popular trail called the Dragon's Back. From the photos it is quite obvious where the name comes from. The hills were not very high, but the views from the top were very impressive. Several times I fell in sheep droppings. Hey everyone. So my vacation time is over and I'm back to work in the UK now. If I hadn't told you, I took a month off to spend time in Canada and Thailand. And if I didn't tell you this either - I've been living and working in the UK since the beginning of the year. I'm clearly not the best at keeping in touch, so I'm sure this is the first time some of you have heard from me in months. But this was a pretty wild trip so you may want to hear about it. While home for the wedding of my friends from uni, Keith and Jill, I made up trip up north with family to our cottage at Lake Huron. It was my first chance seeing my little nephew Cooper and we spent pretty much the entire three days oggling and playing with the little guy.
