Jicaboa. Hello brothers,
I try to send you the pictures that we had made during our stay in Jicaboa, but I think I do something wrong with the name of the emailadress. Could you send me the correct email, than I will send you the picture. Hopefully you did have a good trip back home? It was nice to speak with you in Jicaboa. Next year good luck with cycling in the French mountains.

Well done, looks like a great trip Really enjoyed the entries, sounds like quite and adventure and looking forward to the photos. Hope James has a relaxing trip home and Chris a great stay in Chile. At least the steaks and red wine will be fantastic. go well and thanks for your efforts keeping us intouch. Keith
You made it It must be amazing travelling post Cuba. I know there was a loss of photos but really looking forward to seeing your collection and hearing of your travels. Have you both lost weight - not that either of you would want to have or needed too. I just can not imagine the temperature and mileage you both achieved. Lots of love Helen

Amazing hearing of your adventures. In your note yesterday I believe it was the first time I heard that you wern't so sure about Cuba. Up to that point I thought you were loving it. Must be so tiring tho.
Can't wait to see the photos and hear about the people encounters.
Life goes on here in Welly. Dave came down for a night from Taupö. First time since the opening of the business. He seems a bit down about it all at the moment. Too reliant on punters buying coffee of course. And he is exchausted.
Piata is cool. This fri night Piata and I staying with Fion and Leah. Sat I am getting a ride to Taupö. I will collect P on Sun afternoon from Leahs.
Dad finds out more about his health on Fri. A day of tests. He is very philosophical at the moment.
Much love you both. Heading home on my bike now. Just a short ride ha ha

Sounds very impressive Pleased you both decided on different routes to fit with different expectations - still very impressive - Just returned from an amazing fish meal (paua fritters, crayfish and butterfish) at George (Keith’s brother) will provide as good for you when you return. Love your sister in awe Helen
Wow!! well done Really impressive well done both of you. We're expecting to see you both with weight reductions and tanned bodies.
You arrive here tomrrow James and sadly farm duties await and I expect you'll be very weary. HOPE YOU ENJOY cHILE cHRIS. Regrettably we southerners won't be able to reconnect with you physically unless we go north.
We look forward to photos and hearing about it all. Love and admiration from us all.
I undestand having worked my way backwards through the messages James and Chris - I am intrigued to hear about your views of Trinidad as my perceptions are from ginger nut advertisements only - sad!
Can understand the separate rides now - did you purchase another iPod - or is that not an option in Cuba.
You home comforts and families will seem such a treat I am sure. Trilled to have read of your travels and thoughts - thank you for posting them '' Love Helen
Catching up on blogs Trying to work out why you do not bike together - guess is feels really safe and just allows you to move at different paces. Do you both have a camera? Know you lost one at one stage Chris.
What an amazing exposure as well as a level of fitness I can only imagine!
Maybe Kypros will have an urge for freedom and look after himself by doing something similar - an amazing trip - inspirational. Love Helen
Sounds interesting What was the crocodile like - difficult to eat? Interested in how you manage the language as in the blogs seems that you are working with the people to sort things that need sorting - from time to time.
You both must be so fit.
We had a great weekend in CHCH. Lovely to see the older people of the family (Esme, Maureen, Bernadette, Joan etc). Missed Lorrin and the boys not being there but understand as she must be busy.
Love Helen

Sounds like you're having a blast - You sure you don't wanna go back to Coastlands Chris - what the hell have I let myself in for??!?
I'd love to say I was jealous of James but 500k in not nearly enough days in that heat doesn't sound like my idea of fun......! Good on ya though mate, wish I was half as fit!
Thanks Sue Thats a big change re Tania. Cameron will have to start understanding that disp asap. I'll be home to have a wine 3 nights a week in 10 days. Tough work but so different from home its a real break. Rather be on holiday anyday
Hi there brothers Sounds like you're having quite an adventure. Not all that straight forward at times though. Look forward to catching up when you're both home. Dave say's Lorrin is doing a great job of looking after the farm. Keep safe and will enjoy reading your blogs. - much love Sue C
Hey Chris,
Nice to hear you are having a great time. Just thought I will fill you in on Rpc stuff, Tania resigned today, she is off to Raumati Pharmacy. New manager starts here early Sept- No phcy experience should be funny- or not. Pauly and I have put Sunset Tce on Market, and Ara Kuaka will be by November, we want to buy Mum and Dads land... Big debt so best I don't quit yet. Shop real quiet now the eastern entrance has been closed. Reillys off to Africa on Friday- I have no-one to have a cold one with. Keep up the communications and stay safe Love Sue
Good for you both We thoroughly enjoy blog entries.Dave would like one daily! What a marathon James Chris wise to take easier option.Rough the flat tyres and hope your bike is holding out Chris.Maureen returned to KeriKeri yesterday.Enjoyed her visit. The balmy spring weather great for Lorrin's sheperding which she seems to be enjoying.
I gave Barry O'Carroll blog details as he was wondering re the silence and lack of intelligent comment from you James re Silverfern Farms etc.
Keep well we're prod of you both.Long way from stresses pf Paraparaumu Chris.Love from all back here.
Thanks Sue, Hope things are going well. Its a hard life for the no spanish crew here. Loving it but looking forward to a drink when we get back. love to everyone

Rest is over The limited spanish makes it harder but been under out own stream evens that out a little. I just managed to get 300miles on an overnight bus with the bike after working at it for 3 hours and a bribe .
Chicas.. hot hot hot Skanky is the fasion here. Lots of hot pants etc . Everyone is sexy, thin fat everyone. Its a bit sad the old western men at the resorts with young local girls. We get offers , I think , not much spanish helps us. I did try chatting up a very hot russian girl at the hotel only to figure out she was working there. Quanta costa...

It was only 2 months ago I decided on Cuba for a winter escape. Thankfully James couldn't miss out on a cycling adventure so on 24th July we leave for Havanna. James is the real cyclist and I just hope not to hold hime back too much. There is always the option of loading up his panniers! The more we read the more we realise just how large and hot Cuba in August will be. We were just a bit lucky that we happened to pick one of the most exciting cycling/ adventure holiday destinations. We hope to keep Family and friends up to date with this site. We also have appreciated others sites and notes ... full info
