I always wanted to visit Melaka since I had read a lot about this historical place in my history text book. It would only be interesting if I know the ancient story about the place i am heading to, and seeing how it turns out to be modernized. So, I chose Melaka. I was supposed to go to Melaka next year before my Kota Kinabalu trip, but I shift to a so much earlier date. I must say this trip was a spontaneous trip and it drove my parents so mad because I only informed them when I was on the bus to Melaka. I am recently preparing for Creative Art Award, a national drawing competition that happening annually, and it is on 20 August this year in The One Academy in Sunway City. Last week I got a letter, it says I am shortlisted to the final round of the competition and requires me to attend the on the spot competition. Bentong. I am sure all of you have never heard this place before. Well it is my hometown. I am lucky enough to live in a beautiful town, Bentong because it is just a small town which is surrounded by hills and mountains. I am not actually good in writing so I might just introduce my hometown in list. 1. It's only 70 miles away from the crowded city, Kuala Lumpur. 1 hour driving. 2. Developed but not crowded as KL. U can feel really cool air at night. (I sweat all the time in KL) 3. It's FAMOUS for DURIAN! Durians from other places can never compete with the Bentong Durians even Thailand's and Indonesia's.
