| 14th August 2009 TeresaTraveler | Bus - From: Stuck in San Salvador Hello, Tomas, I don't know about the bus to Tilcara as I didn't go that far. I hope you have a great trip. The colours of the mountains are breathtaking. |
| 11th August 2009 tomas | BUSES AND PURMAMARCA - From: Stuck in San Salvador HI: Great article about your travel to Argentina and Jujuy, etc. I am planning a similar trip to Purmamarca from Salta this September and was pleased to see that it is possible to take a bus from Jujuy to Purmamarca, however, is it also possible to take a bus from Purmamarca to Tilcara and do they run on a regular basis? I was going to rent a car or a jeep but perhaps this is an unnecessary expense if the bus service is reliable. Thanks. I am returning from Jujuy to Salta and will fly from there to BA so I will remember to buy a round trip ticket. |

| 27th February 2009 Matt Corkum | Jealous! - From: Part Two MachuPicchu Teresa, I'm very envious of your trip, but especially this one to MachuPicchu. It's a place that's on the top of my list for places to visit. :) |
| 27th February 2009 Matt Corkum | Mmm Guinness - From: Dublin I bet Guinness tastes just a little bit better when you're in Dublin :) Also, I'm guessing that's the Grafton St. that Halifax's is named after? |
| 24th February 2009 tammy | jungle crystals - From: Tourist Market in Pisqa What you bought was a quartz geode. Quartz forms inside balls of mother rock called a geode. When you crack the geode open it is filled with crystals of quartz. If it is purple, it is amethyst, if it is clear, it is rock quartz, etc. Quartz is very abundant in s. america, so it probaly is from the peruvian jungle. |
| 21st February 2009 isabelle | Yes that's where we ate - From: Aquas Calientes Trap Hi Teresa. We ended up spending most of a day in Aguas Calientes too. We were in the post internet cafe and I did some shopping because we were heading home. We did eat at the hot spring pizza place. The live entertainers were on the sidewalk between the tables and the trains. From what I have read all the textiles are handmade in Peru. I have seen photos of women sitting at looms in their yards. So you are definitely supporting the economy by shopping. We were fascinated by the workers carrying everything through town by wheelbarrow or on their backs since there are no cars. We wondered how the busses got to AC. |

| 12th November 2008 TeresaTraveler | World Peace - From: Gorlice,Poland When I was traveling, I felt the tension between Poland and Germand and Russia, over past wounds. Yesterday was Remembrance Day, and the world remembered these wounds/wars once again. I agree with you, money is less important than peace. |

| 3rd November 2008 sylvia unger-tarko-torelli | - From: Gorlice,Poland I am 49 yr old female, who was born, in New YOrk, USA in 1959. My parents have been from Europe, (my mother, born, in Poznan, poland, and my fahter from dusseldorf, germany. I have never been to poland, but my mothers only living brother still lives there, in Gorlice, so I am thinking of maybe going to visit him, and also my relatives, from my mothers side.I am afraid, becuase I do not speak Polish, but only English. I have married a man, from NOrthern Italy, and have one son, who is 1/2 Italian, and 1/2 American. I have spent all my life in America, growing up, but love Europe very much, and my parents had to leave their homes, after the war was over. My mother could not return to Poland anymore, and my father lost his parents, and home in the war too. They wanted to build a new home and family, in America, and find Peace and Freedom. I have one sister and two brothers. I hope that Poland is a Peaceful, and Free country now, and will soon jion the European Union, and have a better economy, with the new EU currency. My Uncle had to be in the concentration camp, for a little while, and my polish grandfather was cremated in the concentration camp. But my uncle survived, and is 84 years old now. He is the youngest brother of my mother. I love both of my parents, very much, and also the countries where they were born. (Germany & Poland), and I am sad that they were having a war, and not loving each other. I am praying for peace int he whole world, and for all the people in the world to be kind and love each other. It is not important to be rich, but it is important to be good to each other, and to try to live a happy life without fighting. The only Polish word that I know is Tac, (which means yes) I wanted to say that I love all the people in the world, ut especially my own relatives from Poland, and also Germany, and also Italy, America, and all the rest of the countries too, I dont understand the language, but I am happy to be American. sylvia |

| 26th September 2008 TeresaTraveler | Lincolnshire - From: Last Night Hi, Tammy. I'm resting in Sutton Bridge. Didn't know that about Bono's tour and the light art. Interesting. So much literature and art alive in daily life. |
| 24th September 2008 Tammy | animated light art - From: Last Night I guess Bono has a grand influence on Ireland to say the least. The lit walking characters were featured in their last tour of concerts. Specifically from their latest album, the song called "sometimes you can't make it on your own" was a song written by Bono for his Dad, who recently passed away before the tour. anyway, the lights dimmed and bono sang the song, the whole while the animated walking lit artwork was walking in the background, it was so cool. Glad to see that Dubliners picked up on it and are displaying Bono's set ideas,lol.....yep, just full of all kinds of useless U2 trivia. Where are you now? |
| 23rd September 2008 Heather | we need to go back!!! - From: Last Night I am surrounded by sunshine and warmth and all I can think of is how much I loved Ireland even thru the mist and the rain....I miss the music, the people, new wonderful friends, the scents in the air, I miss hanging out in the atrium at the westin dublin and enjoying the conversations with the wonderful staff there....Peter the doorman, Darragh the concierge, Avana and Roman and Katrina the bartenders, and our dear maid. I miss the mists of Northern Ireland and the magic carried in the air, the beauty of the coastline cottages....the castles, and their hauntingly beautiful ruins. I miss Ireland and everything Irish already... Teresa, that was the most beautiful magical, funfilled laughterfilled, wonderful trip ! Thank you for navigating our way around Ireland...tell me when you are ready to go back.....Love h |
