Crossing the widest street in the world
Crossing the widest street in the world
9 de Julio in Buenos Aires
Julie - Hello from Argentina and Uruguay! Yes, we did make it here OK last Thursday afternoon and spent two lovely days exploring Buenos Aires...it is a fairly pleasant and quaint old city and we are staying in Retiro which is right next to the city centre...the streets are very narrow and the houses really old. Our hostel is in an old apartment block with one of those lovely old lifts. We have a very large room with a fire place and balcony. Paz, the owner is lovely and has been very sweet, especially considering my predicament...I have been very very [View Full Entry]

Ceviche Peru National Dish

Julie - Well, we have just returned from our "weekend in the country"...attending our first ever Poulter Family Reunion...and what a weekend it was! Let's start at the beginning... The date was set down for the Easter long weekend in 2008. For many months leading up to the event, the Dubbo mob was hard at work, organising the [View Full Entry]

Tasty Tasmania

 Oceania » Australia » Tasmania » Hobart
November 2006 saw us travel to Tasmania for one week to celebrate our 10th anniversary together. We stayed in Hobart for a couple of days and enjoyed the Salamanca markets and a beer festival which happened to be on when we were there - what luck! We also hired a car for a few days and spent time in the Huon Valley, staying at a wonderful B&B near Huonville. The drive up to Tahune Airwalk was just lovely and we detoured off the beaten track and up a hill in the rain to see the start of the South West Wilderness...as [View Full Entry]

Tropical Tonga

 Oceania » Tonga » 'Eua
Photos from our Tonga trip in June 2007. Travelled with family members for Marco's daughter's wedding in Eua. A great place for a family trip, lots of adventure in the rainforest with 4wds and not overrun with tourists. Recommended places to stay - on Eua - Hideaway resort and on Tongatapu - Heilala Holiday Lodge. [View Full Entry]
