Tcharly - Tal Benisty

Tal Benisty If you're reading this, I must be out travelling again.
This is what I do, when I have the cash and the time.
...Happens only once a year :)
Alright, quick travel history:
I've been to Thailand last year, the first trip,
the one that got me addicted, waiting all year for my next shot of freedom.
2005, I'm hitting Central America.
That's El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and maybe, who knows, even a quick jump into Panama.
Vague plans for the future include
- a wild 6 months trip in south america
- becoming dive instructor and making a living of it somewhere beautiful
- having the guts to quit the system and live, half traveller half homeless, earning just enough money to continue travelling
- maybe open my own super cool travel agency, not only finding the cheapest flights, but also swallowing the Lonely Planet guide for our clients in order to prepare the most amazing trip of their lives, always in the spirit of backpackers. I'd call it 'A pura vida agency' :)

We'll see, I'm working on it all ;-)

Lanquin, Semuc Champey, Antigua, Proyecto Eco Quetzal. Ok, I got a long way to write. Not even sure where I left you guys the last time. Pff, I meant this blog to help other travellers, and I gave no info. Been to Semuc Champey, which I hugely recommend to you guys. Sleep at El Retiro (In Lanquin). Its not much of a local thing, more of a cocoon for Western travellers, but you meet a lot of people. Visit the caves of Semuc and its waterpools. The caves of Lanquin are nice but you wouldnīt miss much by skipping it. Caves [View Full Entry]

Hola folks I got tons of things to say, and though Iīll probably start off summarizing, Iīll soon get carried away until either the owner kicks me out or I start slamming the pc to bits because the stupid qwerty keyboard is driving me nuts :) Not complaining though, about nothing. OK, quick flashback: Spend the first two days of my trip just trying to reach a place that was more than just transitory. Thatīs a car to Brussels Southern Station, a Thalys train to Paris Charles de Gaule, a plane to Houston TX, another plane to El Salvador (San Salvador), [View Full Entry]

This is it

So this is it. When your trip is happening right now. You plan months and months in advance, and even when your flight is in two days, it still seems so far away in the future. But I've reached this present moment where every passing hour is already part of the afventure. It's 2.29 and my Thalys train from Brussels is at 7.52. That means I'm leaving the house at 6.30, means waking up at 5.30. Means I got three hours left to get everything right. My bag is half packed, most of what I need to take is lying on [View Full Entry]
