Tarara - Tara Sloggett

Tara Sloggett ....Lady T, tiara, tarara, tips, TJ, targey, tararabomdiaaaaeee (did her knickers really fly away...hhmmmm?), shiny gubbins.....even slaaaaaggggg!!!!! (sorry if the latter nick name has caused offence to anyone (ie, mums, dads, inlaws etc) but there's no time for personal emails and so these round robin blogs have to cover all those bits about you that some friends and family may not yet know about...!!!!...so after one hell of a rollercoaster, I am packing up my troubles in my old kit bag in true 'cor blimey' styley and heading off on an African adventure, 'big brother on wheels' from Kenya to Cape Town in 39 nights and 40 days starting from Wednesday 26th September, then who knows what will become of me! I've packed up the carpenters and dolly song sheets in a bid to make friends but am sure that the biggest bonding session will come with a few ching chingalings which will lead to me dressing up boys in ladies clothes, introducing them to a dj coriander and having a thoroughly naughty inuendo-filled carry-on cape town time... I am so blessed to have such amazing friends and you will be in my thoughts constantly...this is the scariest, yet most exciting thing I have ever done....and if I can actually manage to work the bladdy camera and download pics you will get to see my adventure with me, otherwise it will have to be good old fashioned smoke signals...sending so much love, hugs and happiness to you all, love love love love love xxxxxxxxxx

Day 16 and 17 (11th and 12th Oct)Zambia - South Luangwa National Park, ZambiaUp at about 5am, the usual it seems and we head from Malawi across the border into Zambia, a very very long rough ride along unmade roads, definitely shakes dem bones! We've been warned that at the camp where we are staying, elephants and hippos roam freely, especially at night! We pitched our tents, had dinner, then got ready for bed, we had to be escorted to our tents by wardens with big torches....er, we're thinking that the rumours about wild life may actually be true.... on the [View Full Entry]

2/3 October days 6/7/8? Zanzibar - Stone town - North Coast This all seems like a blur now, so i'm trying to remember dates and what I did etc, but my head is in a bit of a spin.... The crossing on the ferry over to Zanzibar island was pukesville(!) I just sat as still and quiet as possible and concentrated until we got there.. On approaching the island the beaches looked amazing, long stretches of pure white sand and turquoise waters - breathtaking - can't believe i'm here! Once at the lodge, we head off on a spice tour, I [View Full Entry]

I am therefore trying to tell myself that this is all meant to be and that it's probably a greater god that is telling me that you lot didn't really want to hear me going on and on and on and on and on and on about animals and random shenanigans that won't mean a thing to [View Full Entry]
