On my way from the Airport
I've lost count of the times I have been to Goa but each time I desire to unwind and let my hair down, I know I'd end at this coastal paradise. Miles and miles of golden sun kissed beaches fringed by coconut palm trees lapped by the waves of the sea, it seems like God created a tiny image of Heaven on earth. On the last weekend of February, Afshan and I decided to go to Alibag. Needed a break from the noise, crowd and pollution of Mumbai. We planned to visit Corbett, as we had a week long break and we were already in Delhi then. Corbett National Park is the oldest National Park of Asia and India’s first Tiger Reserve. Situated in Uttaranchal, between Garhwal and Kumaon its the finest national park I've been too. An overnight exhausting journey from Delhi got us straight to Ramnagar in the wee hours, but watching twilight break over the Shivalik range was such a breathtaking view, that the six long tiring hours spend in the train were simply washed away by the rays of the sun. Anyone who knows about [View Full Entry]

Mumbai - Rishikesh On 23rd January 2009, I headed from Mumbai to visit Rishikesh. Being an avid traveler, I had gathered enough information about Rishikesh. I had the local map, demographic details and weather information. I had heard from numerous people that Rishikesh is a nice place. However, I was amazed when I reached. After living in Mumbai for years, the place is nothing short of Heaven. The landscape is straight out of an artist's canvas. The Ganges is a beautiful green and the skyline a clear blue, occasionally spotted with white fluffy clouds. Best of all, people are w [View Full Entry]
